Hi all,

I have both LG C8 and Sony A80J. The LG C8 has burn in so bad (CNN bar area) and out of warranty I just live with it. The Sony A80J after 1 year plus use has a burn in line around the CNN bar area too, but requested a warranty and now waiting for screen change.

Moving on I think OLED TV not suitable for me as I watch way too much news program and on TV more than 8 hours a day.

Should go for X85K or X90K? I dont play games currently, so I think X90K better?

I don't know if I should stick to OLED or just go X series. Appreciate good advice here. I watch mainly youtube and netflix only.

I suggest you buy a cheap TV for the news program. And a good TV for your Netflix/movie usage. If that A80J can get a screen change, then use that as your movie TV and a cheap TV like Hisense for your news viewing.

Cannot have 2 TVs. The TV in my room and connected to soundbar. I just like to know if the LCD or LED TVs like X90 or 85 series will not have burn in issues? When I check internet rtings got one model after heavy use got colour uniformity issues. Actually within 2 years some also will have line issues too... Hmm...

As far as I know LCD and LED doesn't have burn in issue. Or at least it will takes a really long time to develop burn in compared to OLED.
