Ah sorry I didn't check this forum over the weekend. They didn't bring Sony into the expo. And to think back, I didn't see Sony brand on other expos as well (mostly, if not all).

I was also looking for these two models. Major difference is processor, local dimming and true 10 bit depth panel vs 10 bits (8 bit + FRC) panel. In the end I get 65x85j during Lazada sales for 3.5k. I don’t play game, mostly parent watch Astro. I watch some Netflix when parent not watching Astro. I’m happy with it coming from 50” Panasonic 3D plasma tv.
I bought extended warranty for my previous Panasonic TV as it was more expensive. This time around I didnt buy. For peace of mind it is worth to get extended warranty.

May I know which shop you bought it from?
I'm also still considering 65x90j and 65x85j but am thinking whether if the rm2k differences worth it.

Seems x90j price has went up since end of last year. For me the price gap between these two range is getting too wide apart especially for my application.
I bought from a Lazada seller in Johor. Shipped to KL.

Does anyone know where can I get my Bravia Core voucher code? In the website it says just launch the app, register and voucher is prepopulated. But mine doesn’t have any codes

Anyone has tried linking their TV, X90J specifically to any smart speaker?
Can the smart speaker functions as stereo speaker?

i want to know for x85j, how to receive audio with tv speaker together with another audio output ?

I read somewhere it is only possible with optical connection. The other connections using 3.5 mm headset jack or bluetooth can only have audio from one output, ie when one is on, the other will be muted.

My bad, it's still not released in Malaysia as per confirmed by Sony Malaysia live chat. I was looking at the terms and conditions over here, guess I missed the part they said to K models only.

Hopefully they'll let us use the core app after they released the K series. I don't want to use VPN because I read in Reddit it will lock the app on second usage, with or without VPN.

So you get 65x90J? Congratulation.
Not sure why the offer only for k series since you already have the xr processor.

I am also interested to know more about this, as I want to play the TV sound over some speaker located further away from the TV.

From what I found is that, smart speaker can only be used as a remote speaker using the Bluetooth capability, not the WiFi capability. Meaning if your smart speaker is located at some corner of the house where Bluetooth connection to your TV is bad, then you would not be able to use it as a remote speaker. Since Wifi typically has better coverage than Bluetooth, your smart speaker can still give smart instructions to the TV ( like ask it to connect to Netflix or YouTube ). Correct me if I am wrong. wink.gif

But if I am not wrong, the X90J can only connect to 1 bluetooth audio at a time. Meaning to say if I were to use 2 smart speakers as my stereo speaker, it seems to be not able to support. Hence just trying my luck here asking to see if anyone has tried this before.

You can try adding a more powerful bluetooth to the TV instead of using the original bluetooth of TV.

Some more expensive bluetooth transmitter have these capabilities :-

1. Class 1 support up to 100+ meter range.
2. Multiple device support.

This bluetooth transmitter can use the toslink/3.5mm port of the Sony TV as the audio input.

But read this post:-

https://dataoverhaulers.com/connect-multipl...etooth-devices/

There are a lot of limitations in the bluetooth specification, connecting multiple devices may not allow them all to be active at the same time. Eventually you need vendor dependant capability to make two A and B smart speakers as the left and right speakers of the TV.

No issue with x85j.
What is 90AJ? Do you mean X80AJ or A90J? Totally different price range product. It depends how particular your old people are on tv requirement, and of course your budget.
