Battery life is short.  Gotta recharged every 2 days.
2 days is a good battery life. Those unfortunate owners of HTC Diamond sometime have to charge their phone twice a day. Advanced Configuration is good program which enables you to tweak your registry to enable faster response, better battery life and etc etc

Im a new owner of LG KS20. Bought it at Low Yat few days ago for about RM1600+. Izit a reasonable price?
New user of Windows Mobile. I find it quite complicated.
Just setting up the MMS and 3G settings.
Overall, quite satisfied but the voice quality is not that good.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago at LG Warehouse Sale for Rm1590. So if you got it for Rm1600, it's a fair price.

Me too, at first getting fedup and pissed for not able to grab hold of Windows Mobile but soon as I get used to it, it's easy to use. Just need to learn where all the icons are and in which options/windows.

Setup for DiGi, Maxis or Celcom are pre-loaded in the phone, hence you will just need to select which telco you're in.

Added on September 17, 2008, 8:16 amAnyone here using the KS20 with it's original flip pouch? I find it very bulky and huge. And when pressing the side keys on the right, it tends to push the phone out of the plastic holder. Doing so frequently causes the rear shinny black surface to be scratched. Haiyoo....

I am using a thick film (for cars headlamp tinting) on the rear base, hence I am not using the pouch now. Any other solutions to prevent it from scratching?

mind is second hand unit. Eventhough the back surface already got scractched (it is because the first owner didn't use the pouch) but i still using the pouch. I believe it can protect the phone, especially the screen.

my battery can not event last for a day if i set the BAND to AUTOMATIC, how about yours?
currently, my screen protector is not for KS20, any idea where can i get a good one and reasonable price?

While the devide is turned OFF, it still able to receive call, sms and notification (calender and task reminder). May i know whether the SMS is still able to send out?
is it necessary to turn the device off? what is the benefit then?

Maan, my battery life can last for about 3-4 days if I do not play around with it. If I surf web at home in the evenings for an hour, I need to recharge on the 3rd day. Mine is new, perhaps battery life is still good.

My original phone also comes with a screen protector, did not remove it, hence I am using it right now.

I turn my device to sleep mode all the time to save energy and not wait for it to sleep on it's own. Default is 2 mins. The phone still have full functionality eventho it's in sleep mode. Even my iPhone UI and lock screen are working fine.

linkeong,

Maybe so, I recalled when I put into the pouch, it was very tight and secure. Now it felt loose. Perhaps some plastic part cracked. Anyhow, I am not using the pouch now, it feels really small and handy. Nice to use.

go to Settings, select Advance tab, click on Select Networks button. On the first box, pull down to select DiGi MMS. All the settings of 3G and MMS will automatically be loaded.

But please bear in mind, if yr surfing web under WiFi network and suddenly the WiFi goes off, you will automatically be connected to EDGE/3G to continue your web surfin. Therefore, I have disabled this by removing the MMS setup. On the other hand, I can still download MMS though. Wonder why.

I did not do such detail settings, I guess the settings are already pre-loaded in my phone, I can choose DiGi, Maxis and Celcom. I just chose DiGi and it worked since then.

Added on September 18, 2008, 2:53 pmby the way, I went thru all my setups, exactly the same as what you've listed above.

Looks good rclxms.gif . Noticed you keep changing programs yet there is no serious lag. Are the programs closed or just minimized?

DrWho, the programs are just minimized. If I open new, it will take a slightly longer time to connect the YGo! and Opera Mobile.

Oh yeah, I hv also uploaded a clear version of the same demo.
