Been fiddling with it whenever I am free. 1) Try PCM keyboard, intro'ed by ppl here, it's handy and easy to use. But I still insist to use "Letter Recognizer", I can write faster than typing. 2) I go to Playlist, list all songs and seems to be able to load everything easily. Due it's heavy battery usage, I do not plan to use it as MP3 player. I have a walkman and nuvo for that at the gym. 3) I don't think it has g-sensor inside. U can alternatively set the ROTATE option on TOday's screen. Go to Settings > Personal tab, select Today > Item tab, tick on Rotate. Play with it more, search for unlimited softwares in the web, u'll be amazed. Thanx for the tips stutzenward. Well i intend to use it for mp3 player..as i dont hv any other device for that purpose. It seems that i'll be charging alot.hehe. I'll try to install the PCMkeyboard tonight...need to go back to the store where i bought my LG. Coz it seems that they forgot to include usb cable within the box. And some more i seem to realised it this morning that this is a 2nd hand unit, coz there is somebody else messages within this phone??? I thought i was buying new ori set.

I do not connect the unit to my PC. I removed the microSD, save the .cab file into the microSD card and install from there.
Just do a HARD RESET since you've not installed any program yet, it will wash-off all the histories.

1. Turn off the LG KS-20 completely (do this by pressing and holding the power button and wait for the prompt). 2. Press and hold these three buttons–volume down, Call and power–till the LED (this is beside the front camera) flashes. 3. Release the buttons. That same LED should flash blue/red/green and power up. 4. The KS20 should be in a clean state. Congratulations!!! As the understanding goes; the more hard reset you do ,the more learned you are.

DrWho,
As I am at the learning stage, I install and uninstall a lot of applications. Eg. I did the following. I installed these softwares before:
Application A Application B Application C Application D Application E Application F Application G Application H Application I Application J
And some either can't be run or I do not like it because it's slow. So I uninstsalled some and remains only:
Application A Application C Application D Application E Application F
I was thinking, in order to have better performance, should I do a hard reset and reinstall A, C, D, E and F again so that the registry is clean of other unwanted applications?

You only want to do a Hard Reset when there is no other option. Since you are willing to consider Hard Reset, why don't you first install SK Tools and clean up all the bad registry, shortcuts, cache, invalid registry etc etc. This will definitely improve your device performance. After that apply Advanced Configuration to tweak for maximum performance. If then you are still unhappy, welcome to the club and hard reset . It took me almost 2 days of intensive installing and tweaking before my phone returned to the state I was contented with. Please share your experience with us how you resolved your problem.

DrWho,
Ahh.. your comment makes good sense. I do agree with you entirely. Actually, I do not have problem with my phone. Everything is running like a gem, just that a greedy person like me, wants everything to be in 'perfect' condition at best performance.
Yr right, if I do a hard-reset, I think to reset my iPhone UI back to my preference alone, it will take at least half a day. Not to mention the rest, my schedules, my appointments, alarms, phone contact details, wah lau eh, better NOT!

Your appointments, contacts etc can be easily restored via ActiveSync or any Backup program eg PPCPimBackup. I had a near miss this week of having to Hard Reset. I as using MortScript. MortScript is a very powerful tool to command changes at registry but when you get it wrong......hard reset. It was the cause of my earlier Hard Reset

Just go to the file at your device and click on the cab file and it will install, just like clicking the setup/install in your desktop. You are suppose to unzip the file first. Usually the unzipped file is a cab file. Copy the cab file to you device and click it to install. At times a cab file will have the same icon as a zip file. Just check whether the downloaded file is a zip or cab. A cab file, short term for cabinet, will usually contain many files and one of them is a xml file. If your unzipped files contain an xml file, it means the zip file is actually a cab file, thus no need to unzip. I hope I have not confused you. Added on September 27, 2008, 4:59 pmP/S It is best you do all your downloading and unzipping at your desktop. Connect your device to your desktop via ActiveSync and transfer only the cab file to the device. I would discourage downloading software from the net to the device directly. There are some programs that need to be downloaded to the desktop first for installation, after that it will automatically transfer and install it to your device when you next connect your device to the desktop. This post has been edited by DrWho: Sep 27 2008, 04:59 PM

kelvinfcw, Hv u downloaded iPhone Slider v1.0? If so, I am using the same one. You do not need to install this program. Unzip all the files into a folder, put the folder into your desired destination. I put mine into Programs Files. To run the program, just kick off slider.exe file. It will run. For me, I've created a shortcut for slider.exe and put into Windows folder. I have set the Explorer button to run the program automatically. I have also installed iFonz 1.0.4 and set an icon to call the program. For iPhone UI, I have the following programs: 1) iPhone Slider Lock v1.0 2) iFonz UI v1.0.4 3) iPhone Dailer Added on September 27, 2008, 7:10 pmTo compliment the iPhone UI, I just installed this skin for my Media Player. Will put up a video demo later... This post has been edited by stutzedward: Sep 27 2008, 07:15 PM
