Try PocketXpdf. It is a small program and a freeware.

Anyone knows how to change the color of the TOOLBAR on the Today screen? When I change the theme eg. to green, the LG Toolbar is still black. Doesn't goes well with it unless I remove it. But it's very handy to have that.

Try the UI Tweaker. I am using it. A very flexible tool.

You just need to play around with the program. I have not changed the LG toolbar colour so I can't guide you.

Have you considered removing the toolbar from the Today Screen and making a shortcut for it and launching it from one of your iphone buttons.

For shortcut goto to the Windows directory and copy LGMenu.exe and paste it at Windows/Start Menu directory. This would enable LGMenu to be recognized as a progam thus shortcut can launch it.

Best of luck

HI DrWho,

I managed to do the LGMenu.exe in my iPhone UI. I was just trying to change the Today screen to have the color of the Toolbar changed to a color which is in-theme with the theme color. Thanks anyway bro!

f) HTC X Button 1.5

But, my set occasionally hangs and I have to do a soft reset.
I believe the culprit is S2U2 ( Slide 2 Unlock 2 )

It has been reported that Opera 9.5 Beta is known to crash. I am using Opera Mini 2 and it does not give me any problem. Opera 9.5 is a huge program whereas Mini 2 is a small one.

Read my post#537 where I explained why WM6.0 hangs easily if you run too many programs at one time and how to overcome it.

I don't have experience with S2U2 and don't understand why KS20 users are using this program. brows.gif KS20 automatically locks the device after a set duration and you can always lock and unlock it manually.

S2U2 is known to have problems and pretty resource hungry. Try iPhone Slider 1.0. I am using it happily but of cos, you can't get the animation moving on the lock screen.

DrWho, it's just something nice and animated to lock the phone, that's why many ppl are using it.

I am using Opera Mobile Beta 9.5 too and mine is running fine. No hanging or what so ever. Can we use Opera Mini in WM platform? I thought it's meant for manufact OS only.

I am using Opera Mini 2 on the KS20. Look for Mini_Opera_18_06_2008.cab
It is only 1M in size and I can't upload it here.

Opera Mobile runs pretty slowly during loading, so I assume Opera Mini runs faster eh?

been reading bout this phone lately. im now considering to get it. currently using motorola e6. planning to use it as a 3g modem when traveling with my laptop, plus wifi here n there. was considering p750 because of the gps, but read that can buy external gps receiver and use with this. so, thats fine by me, plus, the phone design is waaaayyyyy better than p750 which is the main reason that im looking at it. im also a heavy sms person, quite often with 40+ recipient at a time can the phone handle this. and, what the port for charging and pc connection is this a big hassle? for pc connection, yes i might be able to use bluetooth, but for long hours of using it for modem, im thinking its better to plug it as this will also charge the phone rite? and, how bout car charger? i travel alot too and phone is really important to me.

I installed iPhone dialer yesterday. Looks slightly better than the original dailer but with bigger buttons. Those who has iPhone UI and Slider Lock, should have this installed too. smile.gif

Added on September 25, 2008, 8:14 amNamqul, I think KS20 is great and obviously pretty nice in terms of design. Just that if you are a traveller and you use it a lot, the battery life won't last.

HI all, I just bought KS20 yesterday icon_rolleyes.gif . Been playing with it for a while. And i hv a few questions:

1) Is there any 3rd party apps for keypad? not use to keyboard (when use only 2 fingers).
2) And does anyone know how to select all my songs (at once) and make it into a playlist? do i hv to select it one by one...I cant seems understand how to use the library.
3) can ks20 change from potrait to landscape automatically when u turn the phone physically? need to install 3rd party apps? Coz i anly manage to change it manually through setting > system > screen.

Like this phone very much, the touch screen Very responsive. thumbup.gif

Welcome to the club, lastlion. I got my KS20 for about 1 month now. Loving it everyday. Been fiddling with it whenever I am free.

1) Try PCM keyboard, intro'ed by ppl here, it's handy and easy to use. But I still insist to use "Letter Recognizer", I can write faster than typing.

2) I go to Playlist, list all songs and seems to be able to load everything easily. Due it's heavy battery usage, I do not plan to use it as MP3 player. I have a walkman and nuvo for that at the gym.

3) I don't think it has g-sensor inside. U can alternatively set the ROTATE option on TOday's screen. Go to Settings > Personal tab, select Today > Item tab, tick on Rotate.

Play with it more, search for unlimited softwares in the web, u'll be amazed.

unofficial LG KS20 wm6.1 ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408323
(still in beta phase)

anyone dare to flash? what the benefit to update to 6.1 anyway?

and regarding constant vibrating when receiving sms, u can stop it by entering 'phone setting' (tap on the signal icon >> setting). yes, it will stop.

funny, the constant vibrate never happen on my KS20 after (i accidentally) HARD RESET!

uan, I read that too. From Wikipedia, the changes of Wm6 to Wm6.1 is considered minimum. Refer to the link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Mobile#Windows_Mobile_6

So not sure if it's worthy to take the risk. Might as well wait for LG for free upgrade, if there is.
