Yes the paid out is top up the shortfall of the base net return of 3.9% in Feb and any promo if it is running

Nothing to do with the days ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

It is paid out for any shortfall from the promo rates

In fact the lesser the days in a month the higher base net return

The promise return is 4% p.a. thus Feb 2023 actual return is 3.9% than the 0.1% will be topup as bonus to make it 4% as promised to you (investor)...

How you factor in rebates and paid out since you got shortfall? Of 0.16%

challenging to track due to weekend/public holiday, fund price not being updated
rounding which may result in partial return being reflected in earlier or later NAV

QUOTE(xander2k8 @ Mar 21 2023, 12:02 PM)

*
NAV 1 Feb RM 1.1813, 4% for 28 days --> RM 0.0036
increase in NAV yields RM 0.0018 while distribution contributes RM 0.0016
so the rebate should be the shortfall of RM 0.0002 (0.16%) per unit
based on the number of unit as at 1 Feb (1 Feb balance / RM 1.1813)
therefore, rebate = unit x shortfall per unit

if the rebate credited s lower than the above, it is lower than 4%; vice versa

A bit difficult to track also because of rounding to the nearest 0.01 hence might be shortfall from there

I just emailed Versa via their website, they mentioned that 4% promo rate applies to first RM30k amount, if exceeds it follows the base rate as stated in the app, as below:

(Can find this at the app when click at โ€œsavingsโ€):

so means how also better than KDI Save which offers at 3.5% for similar product. Something to ponder upon.

Affin's financials so far doing well also: https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...rm13bil-in-fy22

Versa is using Affin Hwang's MMF fund product:
https://versaapp.onelink.me/1bAf?c=&af_refe...=af_app_invites
*
Versa is using AHAM MMF.

AHAM is no longer owned by Affin. Affin sold* its stakes in AHAM to CVC Capital last year.

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...-by-cvc-capital

* and this disposal also explains Affin record profits last year.

Its Europe's largest Private Equity firm.

However, as a PE firm, I would expect that they would put Aham for IPO in the not too distant future.

Just got the rebate from Versa, but it was much lesser than previous month, the 4% not extended to 30/6/23?

bottom line is your money in RM
Does it increase by 4% rate from one date to another date?

eg
you start at RM10000,

If return really 4% ,
end of 90 days you should get interest RM10000 x4% x90/365 =RM98.63
Your money should become RM10098.63 .

I just checked mine, i am satisfied
Versa is paying me adequately,
no less than 4%pa

forget about pay out, bonus, rebates , price per unit,
confusing people only, useless to look
most important bottom line is your RM

QUOTE(BrookLes @ Mar 20 2023, 07:54 PM)
Anyone ever calculated and verified that they give what they promised?
*
just checked, it is 4% or slightly more.
see my calculation below

My records are as follow

Take starting date 28.11.22--->Versa showed my amount as RM25104.35

27.12.22
29D later , At 4% pa, expected to be RM25184.13,
but actual amount is RM25179.94, dont know why this lower. rclxub.gif

27.2.23
Another 62D later, expected to be RM25351.03
Actual amount is RM25363.92

5.3.23
Another 6D later, expected is RM25380.60
Actual is RM25383.22
----------------------------------------
Now if take longer period to calculate, that should reduce the possibility of missing late bonus/payout/rebate
so should be more accurate

Take all in 97 DAYS period

Start 28.11.22 as RM25104.35

with 4% pa for 97D,
on 5.3.23 it should become RM25371.21

But actual amount on that day is RM25383.22

Conculsion -Versa tak tipu,
memang ada 4%
or more!

Tax voucher is to show that is exempted for tax because of monthly paid out while paying associated fees

MMF and FD are tax exempted unless stated otherwise
