Means with existing fund also not confirmed able to get the 4% promo?
I purposely cash in before Nov...
*
u might have advantage when the allocation is insufficient brows.gif

but i expect the bonus to last at least 2 months
observing from the go+ bonus campaign, their forecast was pretty accurate on the bonus rate, cap amount and duration for a given allocation

How long does it takes to open and verify Versa account before we can invest into Versa Cash?

Or once we created the account then we can start investing while waiting for the verification?
*
u could start cashing in right after registration while they are verifying your account...but

personally, Versa Cash
06/11 14:17 registered
06/11 14:26 cash in
07/11 11:50 account being verified
07/11 12:00 cash in being processed
09/11 07:17 cash in completed

🤔Susah Kira I lost track.. wait later see
*
the rebate for month November 2022 is credited
the total gain is 4% p.a. (2.95% without rebate) for the period between 9 Nov and 30 Nov 22
not taking into account the processing time of cash-in (approximately 2-3 days)

bonus: RM 10 referral campaign bonus
payout: converting daily gain into units by distribution, which reduces unit price (not relevant in calculation)?
rebate: the difference between the promotional return and market return

Is it normal not to see earnings in transaction history? It just appears on the graph and as a whle under lifetime savings for Versa cash. As it is, hard to see if it tallies with the 3.5% they mentioned. Doesnt seem to be the case for now
*
normal as in the app itself or among other MMFs?
don't think there is a section in transaction history to view the daily earnings
only able to view from the graph, also, the earnings are not updated for non-working days (including weekend)

many would complain if it is 3.5%, should be 4%
the daily earnings are around 3%++ currently but the shortfall should be credited as bonus/rebate in January 2023 if the campaign allocation has not been run out
it was 4% for November 2022

based on the rebate credited 09/01/2023, it appears that the campaign allocation is exhausted hmm.gif

i got a cash reward notification today, noticed it's dated 9/1 in the transaction history. Not sure if we need to wait until 31st Jan to see if the 4% adjustment comes in later. I guess we should all go ask Versa.
*
no, the rebate should be for the entire month of December 2022

QUOTE(H3artBreakKid @ Jan 11 2023, 11:16 AM)
Want to check if everyone get the same rebate based on their balances compared to last month's?

I think the situation above already happened, bummer tho still got 20 days left sad.gif

If so time to move back to good ol KDI
*
if the allocation has been depleted, then the entire month is gone instead of the 20+ days
just withdrew this morning after disappointed by the rebate amount biggrin.gif

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Jan 11 2023, 02:13 PM)
perhaps you financial gurus can calculate your ROI for December based on:

- Your opening balance on Dec 1st
- Your closing balance on Dec 31st
- Your cash reward/rebate for Dec which was paid out today (the bonus)

I had a chat with Versa and they gave me this:

- 1 Dec = RM30,086.49
- 31 Dec = RM30,191.89
- 9 Jan = RM14.01

Total returns for Dec = RM119.41
*
the problem is the value as at 1 Dec / 31 Dec might not be up-to-date

user posted image

since the daily lifetime gain is still approximately 3.1% p.a.
the rebate for Nov RM 6.12 vs Dec RM 7.04 does not seem right for 4% p.a.

but if there are additional deposits or withdrawals over time, i just line them up and then use the XIRR function in Excel to get the %...

pretty old school

nvm, let's use your language:
no, as i expected, my rebate is way too low
user posted image
have to take out the RM 10 referral bonus from the value as at 31 Dec (cash in + lifetime gain + total bonus - RM 10)

Ok, so i had another look at your sheet, and it seems you are dating your deposits on the day you deposited to Versa, and not the date Versa converted them to AHAM fund units, which per your spreadsheet is 2 days later.

So, if I adjusted the dates on your deposits to when it's actually 'interest bearing', it looks about right.

user posted image
*
so based on the T+2 days, then my balance should be RM 27,071.37 instead of RM 27,067.88 right

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Jan 13 2023, 11:47 AM)
i think you need to minus one day off all your manual formulas as your ending balance is as of 31-dec... i.e. 31-dec minus 30-dec doesn't equal 2 days of 'interest'.
*
ya..right...
that works for FD because you uplift that day
so 30 Dec to 31 Dec = 1 day interest
but I didn't withdraw on 31 Dec, so it is definitely 2-day interest

should have applied the value of 1 January 2023 instead of 31 December 2022
but it is useless because they did not update the interest until 4 Jan 23

Update from Versa: Versa Cash provided a 3.45% p.a. return for Dec'22, far above it's target of 2.75%.

This rate was applicable for all funds that didn't qualify for the promotional 4% rate, e.g. funds above the RM30k cap.

Actually ended up 0.01% better than KDI even without promotional bonus.
*
nope
the return we receive is projected return 3.45% - management fee 0.30% - trustee fee 0.05% ~ 3.1%

Nope. It's 3.45%, then plus 0.55% for the first 30k.
*
if you checked the daily gain, would have realised it is 3.10% instead of 3.45%
divide 14 January 2023 balance by 13 January 2023 balance, then multiply by 365

QUOTE(ericwen @ Jan 27 2023, 12:25 PM)
1. If I deposit cash into Versa, assume it automatically goes into Versa Cash. Based on my earlier deposited RM 100, it seems to go into Versa Cash.

2. If I keep the money in Versa Cash up to 1 year, I can enjoy 4% rate (even I will deposit more cash or withdraw)?

3. Can I lose money in Versa Cash if it under performs?

4. If I want to enjoy higher percentage, I will just invest in Versa Moderate or Versa REITs to enjoy higher %?

5. So if my deposit is RM 1,000 and Versa moderate or REITs is low performing, can I lose all my RM 1,000?

6. Similar to above, can I lose all and even owe Versa money?
*
1. should be able to select fund when cash in
2. the 4% promotion has been extended to 28 February 2023, applicable to first RM 30,000 balance only
3. the possibility is not zero, but highly unlikely
4. theoretically yes, as equity/property has been performed greater than money market in the long term; the return in the short term may not be the case
5. the possibility is greater than question 3
6. no, the investment amount will be the maximum you could lose. It's cash account instead of margin account.

I think I will just leave my money there for 1 month and then calculate
*
challenging to track due to weekend/public holiday, fund price not being updated
rounding which may result in partial return being reflected in earlier or later NAV

QUOTE(xander2k8 @ Mar 21 2023, 12:02 PM)
How you factor in rebates and paid out since you got shortfall? Of 0.16%
*
NAV 1 Feb RM 1.1813, 4% for 28 days --> RM 0.0036
increase in NAV yields RM 0.0018 while distribution contributes RM 0.0016
so the rebate should be the shortfall of RM 0.0002 (0.16%) per unit
based on the number of unit as at 1 Feb (1 Feb balance / RM 1.1813)
therefore, rebate = unit x shortfall per unit

if the rebate credited s lower than the above, it is lower than 4%; vice versa

actually what is the point of invest in Versa Cash-i? It is offering the same promotion rate as Versa Cash.

Some ppl said KDI Save return is better than Versa Cash and Cash-i even though KDI save rate is just 3.5%, is this true?
*
first RM 30k promotion rate
so versa + versa-i = RM 60k

i don't understand how mathematically 3.5% > 4.0%
need more information on this claim

would be great if someone could share the actual return

to get the actual return
1) withdraw on the last day of the month, leaving RM 10 in the account
2) wait until the rebate credited
