i couldnt nego with him further edi the pricing...he said he had to use his end yr bonus to cover the cost wor..duno true annot. Anyway i got a good deal buying the HDMI and Svideo cable from him. Sharp Aquos HDMI Gold plated cable 2m only RM 55 drool.gif . And the s video some brand gold plated at RM 60 rclxms.gif . Both is sleeved one and looks like very high quality. Normal price was 100+ for each cable tongue.gif

@ blueautumn

Sound quality is quite decent. But i had to put my volume up to 30 to listen astro clearly laugh.gif . Anyway i didnt care about the sound quality cuz i got HT. what matters most was the picture quality. Now using contrast below normal cuz kinda bright sweat.gif

So far, i'm very happy with it. It's definetely way better than my sister's Samsung 37" R7(or is it S7? The MBF card promotion LCD TV). I'm so glad i cancel that MBF order...wheew...

And yep, i use a Samsung HT-30XT. So far so good, maybe I'll add more info to the Samsung HT-30XT in the thread above later. smile.gif

I think guys can scrap the idea of getting 32 inchers...
Nowadays , DVD movies are starting to come in at 2.39:1 ratios...god know who came out of that idea for DVDs. They think everyones got a projector at home!

Darn..those ratios even makes my 42incher looks bad even from 9 feet.

What is 2:39:1 ratios?? I think most are 2:35:1 right?? What movie is that? I think it's only a small minority?

Haiya...scare me only...i think all movies are that format now. I think it's okay for me even on 32". The LCD will remains 16:9 coz this will the HDTV broadcast standard in the future. The small black border is negligable for me. It's not like the small screen you get in a 4:3 TV box with huge black bars and little movie to see.

So dun throw ur LCD lar. It's here to stay at 16:9.

i have few question regarding lcd tv (noob actually).. what is different between 5ms response time and 100hz TV like sharp A53M.. how its help with PC input?

i have 2 model in my mind, LG 32LB9R1 with 10000 contrast and 5ms, and sharp 32A53M with 100hz capability.. both tv have a great price gap.. but i dunno which one suite PC input and take full advantage of it..

and one more, where can i get these 32 inchers with good price and 0% installment.. tq in advance..

i think you should just go for the sharp one if you have d budget since its a 100hz one. The more hertz means the refresh rate is faster . More refresh rate means it will be able to display fast moving objects clearly. Correct me if im wrong icon_rolleyes.gif

Added on January 21, 2008, 4:05 pmO yeah..i just realised that the HDMI cable that i got for RM 55 isnt Sharp brand..its actually giraffe. Its like this picture but its gold plated

That giraffe brand is popular, I know a few guys using it..

Mine? I got it free as a gift....actually should be Panasonic one but the dealer gave me the pioneer one...but I doubt its pioneer.

Regarding refresh rate, my Panny got option for 50 for 100Hz....100Hz looks better and brighter...i think no flickering. 50Hz one a bit dimmer and there is some flickering....but if you are used to it, you wont notice it until you compare a 100hz unit side by side a 50hz unit.

it depends, mostly they have that normal VGA slot, but if your PC has a graphic card and DVI output, when you can connect the DVI to HDMI.

Please check the specs of the computer and LCD first before buying.
