p4p800 dlx limiting you?? if really want to say which components limits you, i think most probably is the ram. 4 slots full normally wont oc better than 2 sticks. and your rams are mix chipset as well. 3.6GHz is quite sweet already.

btw, i upped my AGP voltage to 1.60v, really stabilizes my system. Orthos previously intermittently can run Orthos for 8hours no issue, the next day beeped after 2 hours. Now after upping the agp voltage, rock solid liao.

Their post there seems like saying that the Asus Probe max speed can be ignored. I think maybe that's the recommended max speed to be put on the mobo. I suspect is due to their NB with passive cooling and with be extreme hot when FSB is too high.

Lol.. Kinda satisfy already. Just thought on push more ma. See how much juice can my procs been squeezed! Since is D0 stepping, produce lesser heat (thats what i read from from review), then try lo. Aim higher.. Plan of reaching 3.8Ghz. Heh.. Yea! 3.6Ghz kinda enough for recent game liao. Im playing Dawn of War with this speed and pair with my 98's GC, no lag at all.

Duh... Already put the loosen one that my ram and mobo. in order to get 3.6 eh. Now is 3-4-4-8. loosen then the ram itself timing. Haha! Play game with 3.6 is very syok already. The gaming loading is FAST!

I guess my procs still can be push more. Since sHawTY can hit 4G with the same procs as mine. I guess mine atleast can hit 3.8 on air! Probably is the ram which limiting the OC wall atm. 4x 256 with single sided ram. One of the chip failed reach the speed already cause the system unstable lo..

Haha,ya really fast at 3.6GHz. I enjoy it very much. Loading the Tiberium Wars also can,but play with my 9550 with o/c can only get 30FPS all moment.I believe yours still manage to go higher one.

My NB is hot also when full loading like play games,but the temp report in the software is always lower than my CPU temp one.Max speed that support at stock for proc in our mobo?This is kinda interesting.

well so far i just tried a small test and i can reach to 140fsb from 133fsb with my MSI mobo.while the P4P800x will pop out BSOD at 140fsb

I think the latest bios they have on their website is the beta version on year 2004,i'm also using the version of bios.

erm its a Palit 6800GS Sonic version and yeah i can feel that the rams are cooler on idle and when gaming.

i don't really know whats my NB temp.so i just use my finger and feel it.it's quite hot even on idle

Super PI is used to measure the calculation of decimal digits. What brand of RAM are you hunting for?The Corsair LED series?

The "old guy" really has good experience hence he has good proc and mobo also. Between speedfan,mbm5 can be used to read the temperature of the nb and proc. , between Abit board is using Abit EQ.

So far now for my board, I dropped my RAM voltage from 3v to 2.8v, and tests that used to crash aren't crashing, gonna perform extra tests with Memtest86+ and extended Blend tests of SP2004 later on After that it's time to lap the NB heatsinks, and replace the lousy Sunon fan

I've already replaced the paste with AS5, but haven't done any lapping yet to the heatsink. I'll post a bit of results if there is any

Yeah I saw that earlier when I was browsing thru Garage Sales. Seems good actually, but if you are planning to get a DDR Booster you might as well get some BH-5 chips to play along with it

Usually 2-2-2-5 RAMs come in Samsung TCCD chips or BH-5 chips. BH-5 chips can be picky, so do test them out before you buy

haha....what i dont have is only the mobo, which is the most important part in oc.

Oh,Super Talent 2*512MB only RM250 ? The price is cheaper than the other high performance RAM yet can run at 2-2-2-5 TeamExtreme one i'm not sure. LAst 2 weeks i saw one person was letting go his Hyper-X,the RAM was also having timing at 2-x-x-x....He was letting go at RM250 per pair(2*512MB) but i didn't get it because lacked of $$$ now.

BH5 i think is not so famous in Intel system like our P4. AMD side more prefer to BH5.The Hyper-X i saw was 2 weeks ago and now ahve already sold off.I got Pm the seller too. PQI RAM i got no idea as not much people are using.TeamExtreme and Super Talent both are famous among overclockers. Can either grab one of them.About the DDR booster,last time i saw one forummer selling on very cheap price only.This one in garage sales is a bit expensive i think.

Take out challange,can.....with the condition you must be having a Prescott Processor. northwood is very hard to reach that speed.

No good mobo yet good RAM to push higher,very hard one. 3.5GHz enough already la...

I encountered tons of problems whenever I tried using my Mushkin 2x256MB RAMs with BH-5, even in using a single RAM stick.

It could be the motherboard that's giving the compatibility problems, but I used those RAMs in Nforce2 boards, namely the DFI Lanparty B and A7N8X Deluxe, which all had the same problem.

Just giving you a warning.

Ic.. Usually whats the problem will be? The system cannot boot up? Hm.. Sounds scare to me!

I know some mobos are picky on RAM. Have to becareful when choosing on RAM. T: I will be out station for a few days and only be back on next coming Tuesday.

hmm.....learn alot for those rams, BH5 is good for tight timings. for p4 normally it needs high speed instead of tight timing.

Oh,even 3.3GHz is sufficeint already to handle games. BH5 is good in tight timing,but our P4 prefer loose timing rather than tight timing while on high FSB.

Yeah, the PC cannot boot up and all, and even if you get it to boot, chances for you to overclock it is zilch.

my rig become entertainment center more than gaming rig, , same as kabukiawie, lazy to game.. maybe raymond is right, become old liao...

main function is MP3 and lossless audio, surfing/downloading and watching movies/series. overall, happy with current 3.0@3.3~!

hehe...same la here ... the only game that i will play is Championship Manager coz i'm a football fan .. i think it doesn't need high end gc for that ...

hehe,evethough i'm old.I still like to play games.But i like strategy games,sometimes don't have people to play with,feel boring. Between i like to play NFS too.But after working the time of playing games are rare already,after work also tired.
