I think for those who are owning an X1950pro AGP card will be having benefits on playing this video. The card itself has the decoder of h.264 .

hi brothers of 478 owners,
wanna ask u all if i wan to try oc my com which type of ram, will u recommend me to buy? i thought of buying hyperX 1GB kit or the crucial ballistix 1GB kit. if there is any ram out there dat is suitable for my mobo to oc pls tell me wanna join the party of oc'ing 478 socket  thumbup.gif

Added on September 15, 2007, 9:36 pmbtw, how u all check the fps for the game that u ar playing? vy curious newbie here
coz nt sure my gc is gd o nt

You can pick either 1 RAM to o/c. But this is still depends on the whole system configuration.Hyper-X chipset maybe vary need to check and see.Crucial one i not sure hwat type of chipset they are using.Regarding your GC,is consider good in AGP already,at least much bettere than my 9550. wink.gif

QUOTE(shinjite @ Sep 15 2007, 10:39 PM)
Trust me, u go and test with ffdshow's h264 decoder and report back to me and see which 1 is better, you will never use it again for this kinda video wink.gif
The advantage is lower CPU usage but the end results we still dunno. As pengster tested with PureVideo, his 2.7Ghz still 100% usage.

This video is full 1080p h264 and the settings and bitrate are high (High profile), that is why you need a very fast single core or a dual core to play it back smoothly at 23.976fps real time.

I will try it out once i get my system run up again.Will let you know the result. biggrin.gif

you can use FRAPS to measure your FPS in game.and i'd suggest you to go for the Crucial Ballistix.what graphic card are you using?
edit : @ raymond5105,do you mind updating my ram timings?its 2.5-3-3-7 @ 150Mhz DC. thanks smile.gif

Erm...i still don't have any experience of using SATA.My new SATA HDD isn't reach on my hand.I think need to ask shinjite or other members whether they are using SATA HDD or not.I think that thee high frequencies of several slot will affect or corrupt the HDD itself.Usually for PATA,we will lock the AGP and PCI ratio.

Anyone here knows the SATA is going to be corrupted on the HDD if the frequency is going too high?Yeah,pengster no problem on the editting.kabukiawie and pengster,i agree with you all,if his proc is going 3.4GHz...the FPS will be good.

Oh,that means the o/c doesn't effect much on the SATA HDD right?Do you fix the AGP:PCI ratio ?

Oh good to hear that.I afraid that the SATA HDD is going to hold us from o/c better.What's the configuration you are using?You place your HDD on SATA port 1 ?

getting at 3.75GHz you should get a better fps running that movie. tongue.gif

@colinwong89
you really need a better hfs, its not healthy having that high temp for long run.
*
Both of you can run at 3.75GHz? drool.gif Haha fylon, everyone is aiming you to run on the video play back. tongue.gif

Slight o/c on chapalang PSU is still accpetable.If going to be hardcore one is always recommended to get a good PSU with true power.Your case can considered going to hardcore already,form 3GHz to 3.75GHz and o/c on GC too. I guess shawty was lucky as he didn't blow his PSU with chapalang PSU. sweat.gif

TCCC or TCCD RAM are famous with low latency while on high fsb. I also didn't notice that he is using TCCC RAM. tongue.gif But TCCC RAM will be very hot when on o/c right?Going to let go your TCCC ?hehe...

@flyon
test 1st before give up this rig. i think is the psu spoiled only. if more than that better buy a new 1. wink.gif

I think might be not that serious till affect the mobo.Guess just the PSU only.

QUOTE(fylon @ Sep 18 2007, 03:57 PM)
Yea.. My kingston was using TCCC ram chip on it. Haha.. Well.. Those 4 stick ram of mine can consider as gem in old sch rigs. Both TCCC and D43 can goes beyond 250mhz thou. Just pity they were in unknown condition now. By then, i not really sure about TCCC will get heat up with at high speed thou. Cs  i always got a fan blowing the ram. smile.gif
*
Erm...can say is eying.But i prefer if there is 512MB stick. biggrin.gif Running at tighter timing and high FSB will boost the bandwidth performance. rclxms.gif
