whoaaa fylon! congratz man thumbup.gif stable at 4.015Ghz? laugh.gif like what kabukiawie said,maybe try tightening the timings alittle.then you'd have a sweet rig biggrin.gif
OT: do you think i should go for E6750 or the Q6600 or just wait out for the Penryn? tongue.gif
*
Hi Pengster,i personally suggest you wait for the Penryn. 45nm technology is better. thumbup.gif

@fylon,congratulations man.Finally you break 4GHz. Solute you. I will update your first page info by tonight . notworthy.gif

Wah,nice to see it.But your current one is quite good to o/c to 4GHz too. Can give a try.

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 15 2007, 11:16 AM)
@fylon
aiyo, just plan nia la. still have to consider the price ma. 30"lcd is killing me deep and hard. tongue.gif

if your 4GHz can stable at reasonable temp, them it will be sweet. drool.gif

@raymond
your 3.2ghz can do better also. why dont you challenge them as well?? brows.gif get something like 3.8GHz+
*
I was trying to run higher than 3.71GHz...but cannot..it will BSOD...I i think my proc cannot tahan already.If i have a Prescott sure i can go more than that.My Northwood not qualified to challenge prescott in > 3.7GHz. cry.gif

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 15 2007, 11:19 AM)
@sang_karim

Actually u can break 4GHz easily with ur stuff. U have almost the same rank item as me. Same mobo, on par ram & cooler, proc almost the same as mine also.

Actually the higher speed the lower chance to OC. Like mine, i think i almost hit the wall already.

Added on November 15, 2007, 11:23 am@Sang

Haha.. I believe ur 3.0E can do better then mine! Go go!!

@Ray

Wanna join this hardcore OC? brows.gif
*
fylon,my proc i think can't go higher already. Now i'm using 3.68GHz to play games,listening musics and do other applications.I'm actually quite satisfy already.I imagine if i can reach 3.8GHz...my soul will be flying too...Too steam to imagine that.

hi fylon,i notice something.

QUOTE
02. fylon - 3.2 @3 .76GHz- 235MHz @2.5-3-3-6 - 35.766s

QUOTE
CPU: FSB run @ 251MHz * 16 = 4.015Ghz
RAM: 1:1 ratio with FSB @ CL3-4-4-8
Temperature: Idle @ 4Ghz = 42-44'c
Temperature: Full load with priming @ 4Ghz = 47-50'c
Super PI 1M = 34.219s
Vcore: 1.475v
Vdimm: 2.75v
vAGP: 1.6v
The differ about 255MHz is able to boost the Super PI 1M about 1.547s. It's quite interesting.

Haha.. As previously i was using CL2.5 that why the PI score are slight faster. As breaking 4Gh barrier, i gotta change back to CL3. So, the result only faster by 1.+s.. If can tweak the ram timing again i believe the score will be slightly better abit. laugh.gif

Hm.. Ray u continue be the boss la! Better! laugh.gif Ur in the club? In the club of poor man or the club of OLD man? brows.gif

@Kabu

Yup. Current fan cannot satisfy me yet. Due only running 1.3k rpm.. The CFM also kinda low due is just a normal fan. Unable to keep my monster below 40'c @ 3.6Ghz.. laugh.gif
*
Wah haha,i continue become the boss ah?Ok one....But i'm giving chance to others too. biggrin.gif Your Super PI is very nice can get 34s.. thumbup.gif I belive if you can change the CL3 to CL2.5 it will maybe get 33.xs.Currently i'm in the club of old and club of poor old man.

guess mayb i will jz grab a p4p800-x? sad.gif

I think this mobo is the most suitable for you to o/c already. It can still o/c about 25% if your proc and RAM are suited to the mobo. brows.gif

@fylon,I will cry if i let go the mobo.This is one of the legendary mobo from S478 platform. Well,i'm waiting for the new born of V5.Count down now.

intel D865PERL cant oc?
*
Intel D865PERL can't do o/c.It can just adjust the RAM timing by using Intel Desktop Controller.

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 16 2007, 08:45 AM)
@fylon
haha...as expected, tight timing score better. i thought at 4GHz superPI should be around 34s, yours even better at 33s. solute you. notworthy.gif

@sang_karim
brother, fylon aready submit his result, mana you punya?? XD

no need purposely get the 3.2GHz la, your 3GHz can get near to fylon's.
*
What kabu said is correct.Sang you can try to o/c higher and see.

@fylon,sorry yesterday night wasn't updated your Super PI score yet.I might do it by tonight. wink.gif

like the peon in warcraft3 said "work work..." tongue.gif

Haha,last time i used my 2.6C on IC7-G also can get at least 3.2GHz with 250FSB. I think this is quite a good proc for me.

@fylon,V5 punya boss i continue to do ?Or someone will take over?About priming software,i think memtest and Prime 2004 is reliable.You 4GHz plays C&C 3 sure sweet. brows.gif
