Yea yea.. laugh.gif Almost the same scenario to what u had mentioned just now. I just shock when the screen were freeze and game hang. Then heard some sounds effect and then as u says super effect the "bungai api" pop out and then comes with the superb smell.. icon_rolleyes.gif I do see some lighting pop out. sweat.gif

As for my +12v.. it was never goes beyond 12v even in idle.. Thats what worried me at 1st. And also for the +3.3v were almost near 3.5v... Weird scenario happen before the PSU exploded.

@colinwong89

Yea.. Now i learned some lesson.. Yea.. Will be a long way to run agian if i migrate to AMD. Gona start from 0..

Haha.. Finally get back to live!! Yea.. Ur right shinjite, just the power supply is dead. Changed a normal chapalang PSU now. And runing fine. Ofcause.. Now running at stock speed! No OC life for this two weeks.. But atleast save back some $$.. rclxms.gif

drool.gif Congratulations man,only the PSU died. But you said that your +3.3v was almost near 2.5v...danger leh... sweat.gif sweat.gif So when is your new PSU coming?Hehe,almost end of the month already.

Thinking to let go your systems?Still considering about the X2 3800+ ?I think your mobo maybe lower price.Other would be around like that. wink.gif

If 1 item top up RM300...then get the new AMD set also need about RM700-RM800. sweat.gif Quite costly also(for me tongue.gif ).

Hi fylon,my personal opinion is E2140 almost same cost with X3800,Intel mid-end mobo around Rm300+ like that,but the o/cbility is better than the X3800. biggrin.gif On stock both of them may be par on performance,after o/c is another story already. biggrin.gif :lol..you and kabukiawie are from Kuching...

Our fylon brother lo... tongue.gif Earlier he said might going to switch to AMD X2. Agree with you too...Rather top up a bit and get the mid range 8600GT. drool.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Haha,E2160 is slightly better because it has 1 more multiplier than E2140. HTT i'm not so sure about that...HTT is also affected by the divider one...Not really know about this HTT.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Hehe,nice article man. Ya,even we get the procs,won't run on stock one...Haha,we want more juice.My plan for next rig also will be based in Intel product. thumbup.gif

kekekeke...... we got the same head. laugh.gif

last time i read about the old core duo 805 can get till 4GHz, this time is the e2160. quite interesting article. smile.gif

what to do? most of us having itchy hand and will not stop until we hit the wall.. wakakaka.....
*
Now there is a 45nm proc from Intel having 8 cores inside with HT function. It can do 16 threads simutaniously.. drool.gif In future the procs will be very cheap.... laugh.gif

No problem. Hehe. The CO,DO,EO are the revision of the proc....I think most common one will be having the DO version.I think i'm having that DO version.

Added on September 19, 2007, 3:32 pmI'm having the D1 revision.Not DO.

tongue.gif I don't think is your mobo,maybe proc and RAM. I think not all 30 cappers procs are garranted to o/c kao kao...Another factor is the kingston RAM...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Performance is always the best in 1:1 divider. Maximum bandwidth through the RAM and Proc.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Last time i tried with the 3:2 divider at 230MHz,don't know why can't boot up. So weired.Now i'm using 1:1 divider always.

People are aiming at E2160. Damn jealous.I think with your GC should be getting better FPS one. You set high settings in the game? My 9550 o/c already is also getting 30+- FPS in the game.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Good to hear that our mobo can support high capacity HDD. smile.gif 7600GS should be far away better than my card. The game engine only allows 30fps on the game?I did try on 1024*768 and 1280*768 and both resolution are giving me the same FPS.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Got people has ordered 79GS,when will you get the new GC ? Remember to snap some photo for us ok?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

7600GC and 7600GT version is just differ in the RAM only. GT has more room to o/c compare to GS version.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

7300GS can par with 7600GT ? Possible or not? Both GC are not having the same pipeline one...Yet different chipset.

Haha.. Well.. S478 really bottleneck that gc alot.. No point to pump on that card. Good gc pair with a bottlenecking procs wont produce good result. XD

Yea.. If got then chance then grab a 73/76GT will do already. By then AGP version wasnt that cheap. Galaxy 76GT cost around RM400 for new set @ AGP slot. Gota think quad time before planning to buy it. laugh.gif

Yea.. Working now not much time for gaming. Better save the time for sleeping! Hehe..

Hi guys i'm back. Sorry for being suddenly disappeared for 4 days. My grandma is just passed away. sad.gif
Anyway back to topic,the 76GT from Galxy is cheap also i think,i saw the price from lyp about RM380 only can get the 76GS version.Have to get attention,some of the 76GT are using DDR2.

i would not recommend prescott vcore get more than 1.5v. but better dont get exceed 1.6v unless you go for watercooling. haha.....

FYI, dual channel can get like 5% more performance boost than normal single channel, unless you manage to push it far far away than dual channel like >200MHz. if not, i rather stay with dual channel st lower speed for cooler cpu temp. icon_rolleyes.gif

@raymond
sorry to hear that. sad.gif

the 76gt ddr2 is not performing well FYI, the slower ram limits the whole performance. but still better than 7300gt but not far. if possible get the ddr3 version. of coz the price is a bit higher.

you planning to get 1?? brows.gif

@fylon

as expected from kch market. normally is >rm20 different. even more if the rare item. doh.gif

Hi guys,i'm ok with my grandma passed away. Thanks for your concern. smile.gif Anyway,i'm now using my new HDD man. biggrin.gif So nice,just setup the things only.Busy to install softwares now.Er..the 76GT plan to get but not now...hehe.

so 2.5-3-3-6 is better than 2.5-3-3-8 aaa bro?? i don't really know bout this ram timing la ...  sweat.gif
*
Both timing here won't give you boost unless you are using tighter one.For value RAM i think it's considered good to have such timing already. CL2.5 is hard to get sometimes.

hehe .. so tighter timing to get high ram speed ... will try with that 2.5-3-3-8 first ... if won't work .. will be happy with that 3-3-3-8 setting .. it's only valueram not the high performance one ...  sweat.gif

Ya,it's preety good already.Anyway i've just updated your Super PI 1M result on first page. tongue.gif

running prescott at 1.5v shouldnt be a big problem, but make sure that the power is stable wont fluctuated. keep an eye on cpu and nb temp. if nb temp too high beter find a cooling solution to cool it down.

overheat nb will cause instability FYI. i personally wont recommended nb temp exceed 50C. tongue.gif
*
50 degree C is very hot already on the nb.Better not to do so.

Opss.. blush.gif Sorry! Forgot about sang_karim was running on 5:4 ratio which means his ram was clocked at 133mhz before he start clocking. (correct me if im wrong). Thus running on 3.75Ghz was the proc itself yet not the ram. nless he was running 1:1 ratio then the ram and proc was on par.

@sang

Since when become so hardcore? Haha! But anyways, good to see ur having a good result here. 1:1 ratio at 215fsb has rebooted u? sweat.gif Pity.. Seems like u better keep track at 5:4 in order to hit high speed!
*
Ya loh,i also see he becomes very hardcore on o/c already. biggrin.gif 5:4 is better running on 3:2 . sweat.gif
