BTW yr chipset is intel GM965 eh, with the GMA X3100. Make sure u select intel > X3100 efi strings. After installing your screen will be blank, happens on most of the gma x3100 graphics card. Screen will be blank everytime you restart. When its blank just close the lid and wait for 15-20 minutes. Come back after 20 minutes and complete the registration wizard. Once inside os x go to spaces and set "sleep display" on one of the hot corners. So everytime you restart just move your mouse to the hot corner that uve set and u`ll have yr display back.

Works like a charm on efi partition.

If yes, might work with iatkos_5i distro. You can try ipc 10.5.6 distro as well.

Make sure to select SATA driver at the customize section, efi strings for intel x3100 graphics.

Should able to work with some tweaking here and there.

anyone got any tips to install mac os x on sony vaio fw33? i tried ipc but there are no kexts for the hardware in vaio. so the screen res is low, no sound and cannot online.

after a long time , I've moved back to Hackint0sh. Currently on OSX 10.5.6 (voodoo kernel). Got sick of Windows already and I needed something to do a bit of video editing !

Hi guys, just to report that I have been using OSX 10.5.6 on my Thinkpad T61 for quite some time using iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Universal Final and I'm happy with it.

Not all hardware work though. My bluetooth, graphic (Nvidia NVS 140m) WLAN (Intel 4965), internal mic and headphone are among them. My advice for those Mac wannabe, don't be afraid to try and expect to have countless failed installation. Just keep trying. That is normal.

I tried 3 different images (iDeneb, iAtkos, iPC). At the end, only iPC works for me. For wireless connection, I just use USB WLAN adapter but most of the time I just plug in the ethernet cable since it works out of the box.

Is it possible to run Mac OSX off an external drive by installing OSX to that drive?

..or just make a normal install and choose your external usb disk as the target.

Anyone manage to get XP to boot with the new Chameleon 2.0 RC1 bootloader? Tried with a usb boot loader and my XP wouldnt boot. Get blinking cursor only.

You can start with kalyway distro first, if time permits try others as well ideneb, iPC or iatkos. Make sure u read the particular distro`s readme file.

BTW chameleon 2.0 RC1 rocks!! fully customizeable GUI. heck they even have a ala boot camp like GUI.

Well , it should work provided that kexts are the same. Technically its possible but people prefer a fresh install as sometimes patched kernel extensions (think of it as drivers) may work on for a certain chipset and not others , which may cause havoc

If you plan to migrate. Fear not ,OSX comes with a handy tool which migrates all your application , user data , bookmarks from old HDD to new one. Its that easy . You could restore OSX this way ! Your OSX would look alike the way you have used it
