For RM280, it's a no brainer. The quality is top notch, yes the seat is a bit firm, but since I got it for a month now I never had anymore backaches, mind you I sit on my desk from 8am to 6pm work from home, and then continue 6pm to 11pm gaming/watching youtube. All never hurt my back at all. Wish it had a neckrest though, that's my only gripe, probably will change to a mesh chair as this gets a bit hot, and will give this chair to my gf instead.
*
May I know what's your height/body stature? I'm growing more impatient to get a better chair while I'm stuck under this lockdown with no showroom to test sit a good chair... Considering to buy this for the mean time. Once the lockdown lifts, I'll just give to my family and look for a better and pricier one.

If anyone has a decent recommendation for a <RM300 chair, that would be great too. notworthy.gif

I also considered this before but The backrest seem made from soft mesh might sink in after long use and it doesn't come with proper lumber.
*
agree. was thinking the mesh would probably stretch out overtime leaving you with little to no back support.

I have the same issue too  laugh.gif
what you can consider is to get a table keyboard extension and put your keyboard there, although depending on what type are you in holding your mouse, this could be an issue too
The second position is the better one for the back (around 100-120 degree iirc) as it distributes the stress evenly to the back.
Ideally shouldn't rest your wrist on the table though  laugh.gif
*
Oh? Isn't that the wrist should be rested ideally straight with 90degree angle with your arm?
and with the normal typing position, it should be rested on the table.

Talked to Alterseat support, they insist that my sitting position is incorrect.
They claimed that no one has complained about the lumbar support design, and I'm the first to complaint about it.
I highlighted that the hard plastic of the lumbar support should not pushes against my back. It should be supported by the cushion instead.
After a call with their technician, they decided to send technician on-site to help me get the lumbar support removed.

Now here is the interesting part. As soon as the technician saw my chair, immediately he told me that the lumbar support was incorrectly assembled from the factory.
The lumbar cushion that supposed to face downward is now facing upward. Which is why the hard plastic bracket is exposed to my back rather than the padded part.
It's really a huge difference after the technician fixes lumbar cushion position. Problem solved. Lol

I’m a chair Youtuber! Have a Herman Miller Aeron, and will be getting a Steelcase Leap! Most of my videos however as of now are about the Secretlab Titan 2022, and you can find them here:

https://youtu.be/Vb-RUckZCTc

Would appreciate feedback and look forward to learning more about ergonomics in days to come - if you enjoy the videos, I’d also be incredibly happy!

A chair is so important especially in these times and I’m shocked that there isn’t so much bigger or more organized of a community dedicated to it - have created a small Facebook group, in case anyone’s interested smile.gif

I was talking about the back seating position. For your arm, it won't be 90 degree because you won't be sitting straight which is bad for your back (you can refer to some ideal sitting image for reference)

For me ideally should be almost 90, with ankle resting on the arm rest. This is to reduce the stress on the shoulder.

any recommendation for full mesh (including the base) ergonomic chair? Budget ideally not more than 1k, but slightly over I'm still ok with it.

I'm 178 cm but my frame is not that big

Anyone here tried this?

Rm 300, I would suggest go for the steelcase Let's B chair secondhand in Carousell.

The chair is pretty good to be honest, otherwise a new chair. Honestly no RM300 chair is decent IMO. Perhaps Ikea but it's still pretty bad.

I bought a Steel Case Let's B RM 280 and a Haworth Easy RM380. I think I like the Let's B more thn the Haworth Easy.

Let's B retail for 1k I think.
Easy retails for 1.5k IINM.

Let's B
1st Person 164 Cm - 74kg
2nd Person 174 CM 82 KG.

We both liked the chair. I bought the Let's B for my friend. Easy for myself.
I somehow like the Let's B more thn the Easy.

Sorry, wasn't meant as a bad impression of Chinese quality. I mean perhaps you can narrow down which brand it comes from and get reviews from there.

from my experience of gaming chairs below the 1k price range, the cushion is.... kinda soft. Not firm enough to support long hours of sitting

Haworth Easy , Steelcase Let's B is solid.

Though used.
New ones are rather costly.
