I always wonder how do people get rid of their office chairs.

Mainly the seat cylinder gas lift until footing and armrest can be harvested and sell to recyclers.
If you can dissemble the chair the recyclers will be more willing to help you dispose it for the parts thats worth little $$

The steel case leap cost around 4K+ right?
*
Not sure. My sibling got it for free. Got the Harworth chair that Petronas group is using also but the recline couldn't lock in the desire position so end up we give to other that wants it.

Thanks for the review.

I wanted to buy the high end Sihoo one, now I'm thinking whether I should.

Without trying personally it's a gamble. Personally anything above RM1k I will not consider Sihoo but instead on AM Office Chairs or Okamura.
Next one I'm thinking of Portone brows.gif

Been using SecretLab chair for ~6 months now. Bought it since many of my friends and online reviews said it's good.

It's really well build and sturdy. However I feel that this chair is not the best in terms of support and extended use with the pc (whether office work or gaming). Compared to the steelcase and HM chair in my office, the SecretLab falls way short.

Lumbar support is not great, headrest must use the pillow (without pillow CMI) but even with the neck pillow its not great. I honestly can't sit down on this chair for >2-3hrs at a time.

If I were to choose again I'd look elsewhere.

That's true, but SecretLab for ~RM1800 I would top up some for SteelCase after my experience with it. Chair does look cool though laugh.gif

was using old gaming chair during MCO period, sitting down 6 to 7 hours per days really made my lower back and butt area extremely pain. After intensive research and finally decide to get Ergohuman from Amoffice, after less than a week sitting on that, most of my pains are gone.

When you are young, sitting of any chair are fine, but when older age,  these things really matter.

Congrats on your purchase. Is it Ergohuman V1 or V2?

Was looking to buy Ergohuman V2 from AMoffice few months ago but they only bring in V1.

But isn't Okamura and AM Office kinda expensive ? Portone ? never heard of it.

I'm still looking out for chairs. can't seem to come to a conclusion.

Ikea markus is honestly not suitable for me, due to my height which is 164cm.

The 3 locked angle is definitely a cons. I find an angle that is suitable for me but I can't go there due to the lock.
For a better back, the second one is the better choice.
The 3rd position is too far back, without leg rest, your feet will be numb (don't ask me why I know  laugh.gif )
you just need to lean your back on it, don't keep exert force on your back or else will have spine pain like what you said (again, don't ask me why I know  laugh.gif )
Its either your table, or how you put your arms. If your keyboard is at the middle of the table then it will be an issue like what you said.
Yup its pretty common, and in the ideal sitting position, you won't use the headrest so yeah.
*
Overall, do you think its worth the 700 MYR price?
I am more tempted to this DT-330 chair compared to Anggun as this one can recline further back so I can use it to watch TV after work (currently I only has a shitty sofa bed for everything)

But the lack of choice for chair with leg rest with the 500-800 budget is really disappointing. How do you deal with the feet numbness?

If you have existing office chair then not really if you want to DIY.

Otherwise not bad ish but I probably spend more due to the tilt lock thingy and the height adjustment (so limited, much fail).

Anggun have the same issue too (can only lock at 3 spots) so if you want to watch TV after work then better get a higher end model with locking at any position and leg rest.

That being said, people do manage to get discounts here before from Merryfair so can probably ask around for their higher end models?

I don't tilt it to the max anymore laugh.gif by default now its the 2nd position which is slighlty reclined which is better for the back

Okamura Portone is around 1899RMB from TB which is around 50% of Sihoo top of line chair I assume you mean Sihoo ErgoPro?
More closer to Sihoo ErgoPro pricing will be Okamura Slyphy Light around 2999 RMB.

Unfortunately but both of this not available to try so still a gamble.

Thanks. I don't even have any proper chair so anything is an upgrade really.

I really want something with leg rest, but from what I find, it's either those cheap office chairs in Shopee or those that cost 2k+.
Too bad because there's a lot of gaming chair with 500-1k budget that has leg rest.

After many hours of research, I decided to get Steelcase Leap v2. HM Aeron was on my list but it’s double the price and I’m just not sure if it’s twice as good.

It’s a gamble buying without trying to sit on the chair due to this EMCO. I just couldn’t stand this back pain anymore. Hopefully the chair lives up to the good reviews I have read.

There's one by Xtra Furniture at Gardens. Maybe you can pay visit to them when condition improves?
Xtra Furniture

From what I saw so far the price is quite significant and models offered here got some difference.
Okamura only make sense when it is compared with TB than local.

Pardon for the confusion caused.
