Seems like chair price is increasing currently.
Is there a good chair with a leg rest that can recline and lock in place with the budget of around 700?

Reason for above requirement is because I plan to use that chair to sit in front of TV and watching movies/console gaming as well.

I saw many gaming chair with that budget that advertise those function, but I wonder is there an office chair alternative.

Gave up on chair with footrest as it's hard to find 500-700 ringgit chair with that function. The only one I found is M20 from takeaseat website, but the warranty seems too short.

I guess I am going to buy a cheap foot stool to put my feet up if needed.

Now I am considering 2 options.
1) Merryfair Anggun (RM620)
2) Alterseat DT-330 (RM700)

It looks like for 80 ringgit more, Alterseat seems better in every way, except for the lack of adjustable seat depth.

It has better warranty, higher degree of reclining and use class 4 gaslift. Talked to the sales staff and they seems responsive as well.

Anyone has actual experience with DT-330? Is the chair comfortable for long period of use? My day mostly will be on that chair, except for an hour of going on a walk and sleeping.

I got the Alterseat CG-07 which is also using the "class 4 gaslift", this has very limited height adjustment between 43-48cm, ie 5cm adjustment. Whereas the Merryfair Anggun shows that it can adjust between 44-54cm, ie 10cm adjustment.

My height is 165cm, so the Alterseat is just enough for me; if I were any taller I think this chair is not tall enough. YMMV

Thanks for your review. How's the seat cushion? Is it nice?

Btw, I am 162cm, and based on the ergonomic chair calculator, i should set my seat height to be 44cm so it should be okay as well for me.

I've been using DT-330 since April until now. Bought it after reading bunch of positive reviews and high recommendations from people around me.
However up until today, I'm still couldn't find the comfortable spot with this chair.
Few problems I have with this chair:
1. Backrest adjustment - The first position is way too upright, and the second position is way far down. It only locks at predefined angle
2. Lumbar support - The cushion is very thin, almost non-existence, and the bottom of the lumbar support wasn't cushion at all. My spine hurts after long hour pressing against the hard lumbar support.
Maybe due to the problem of #1, this affects the #2, or the other way round. I just couldn't find a sweet spot from this chair.
3. Arm rest - It could be better if the arm rest could be pushed further back. There are times where I want to sit closer to the table, but the arm rest is in the way. I have to lower it down all the way, and with that I will lose the arm support. Might not be a problem for other people, since my arm are shorter than the others.
4. Headrest - This is a common problem for most of the working chairs, which is loose headrest. I don't expect anything much from this though.

The good side about this chair is the quality. The entire chair is solid, zero squeaks, and the operation is all butter smooth.

Thanks for detailed review. What's your height ya?
Number 2 seems particularly interesting as lumbar support is the main selling point.

Have you tried other chair like Anggun or others?

The 3 locked angle is definitely a cons. I find an angle that is suitable for me but I can't go there due to the lock.
For a better back, the second one is the better choice.
The 3rd position is too far back, without leg rest, your feet will be numb (don't ask me why I know  laugh.gif )
you just need to lean your back on it, don't keep exert force on your back or else will have spine pain like what you said (again, don't ask me why I know  laugh.gif )
Its either your table, or how you put your arms. If your keyboard is at the middle of the table then it will be an issue like what you said.
Yup its pretty common, and in the ideal sitting position, you won't use the headrest so yeah.

Overall, do you think its worth the 700 MYR price?
I am more tempted to this DT-330 chair compared to Anggun as this one can recline further back so I can use it to watch TV after work (currently I only has a shitty sofa bed for everything)

But the lack of choice for chair with leg rest with the 500-800 budget is really disappointing. How do you deal with the feet numbness?

If you have existing office chair then not really if you want to DIY.

Otherwise not bad ish but I probably spend more due to the tilt lock thingy and the height adjustment (so limited, much fail).

Anggun have the same issue too (can only lock at 3 spots) so if you want to watch TV after work then better get a higher end model with locking at any position and leg rest.

That being said, people do manage to get discounts here before from Merryfair so can probably ask around for their higher end models?
I don't tilt it to the max anymore laugh.gif  by default now its the 2nd position which is slighlty reclined which is better for the back

Thanks. I don't even have any proper chair so anything is an upgrade really.

I really want something with leg rest, but from what I find, it's either those cheap office chairs in Shopee or those that cost 2k+.
Too bad because there's a lot of gaming chair with 500-1k budget that has leg rest.

Anyone has experience with this chair before?
https://takeaseat.my/ergonomic-chair-malays...r-with-legrest/

Googling around, it seems to be a rebranded version of Sihoo M18. (Some Lazada reviewer even said that they don't even bother to change the box).

For the price, I would like more than a 1 year warranty only, but it seems that this is the only office chair that I find has leg rest below 1k.

Edit: Found 1 detailed review on Sihoo M18(without the footrest).
https://ergonomictrends.com/sihoo-ergonomic...e-chair-review/

Seems like it's a good enough chair with few downside such as mediocre tilt function or headrest easily moving around. But in terms of comfort seems to be good enough for the price.

Personally, I would like to have the chair to be able to tilt more than 120deg, especially when it has legrest to support.

Any idea for alternative? If there is no good choice within the budget, I guess I may consider extending to 1.5k mark if it's really good.

Just a few reply above you mentioned he got a M57 for 600 something. Maybe you can pm him for more details on it? M57 definitely better than M18. Will suggest you hold the trigger until he got his chair and made his review on it.
Else for that price range... I cant really think of any with a leg rest. Maybe buy a separate foot rest?
*
Thanks. Seems like buy direct from Taobao is cheaper.

But I need to buy from a proper store so I can claim it to the company 😅

And yea I already started to look for a good adjustable foot rest. Seems to be around 150 ringgit which is more expensive than I thought.

Btw, is 120° good enough for relaxing and watching movies on PC after work? Considering Anggun as well but the reclining degree put me off a bit compared to Alterseat etc.

Hopefully government allow furniture store to be opened soon because it's really hard to make a decision without testing, so need to depends on others experience.

Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 out now for 1.7k.
Worth it? Seems like it got a proper lumbar support this time.

Btw why does Secretlab able to ship their newly released product during this time, while other chair shops like Merryfair not be able to?

Anyone has experience with this Zenpro Trendy chair?
https://product-ecatalog.com/zenpro/product.php?p=152
https://shopee.com.my/product/322543533/3687621206

The seat seems so thick at 75mm, but no mention of density.
Also the armrest is only 2D which is too bad.

The chair seems a bit bigger for my liking based on measurement, but is it good enough for someone 162cm?

Finally bought a chair. Decided on Zenpro Trendy for 600. I don't know where they source the chair though because as far as I know they are not a manufacturer. I'll post a detailed review here once I tried it out.

But one apparent thing, my butt is sweating a lot on the cushion. I wonder if this is unavoidable for a fabric cushion type. Are the more expensive chair like Steelcase Leap etc similarly sweaty?

I choose fabric cushion over mesh seat because I thought it will be more comfortable, but I am a bit regretting my decision.

So far how’s the chair? Im also looking at trendy aluminium base but not sure whether to pull the trigger.

Using it for more than a week now, I am quite satisfied with the chair.

First of all, aftersales service is quite top notch. I got some defect in the seat part where the screw holes not really aligned, and after video calls with them, they sent me a replacement part on the same day using Lalamove.

The cushion is quite thick and on a firm side in my opinion. Originally I felt that the fabric cushion is too hot for my butt but after a few times using it, I can now sit on it for almost 8 hours per day without discomfort. The seat can also be slide forward and backward. For my body, the seat is also wide enough that sometimes I will cross my leg on the seat without any issue.

The hand rest is soft touch type which is comfortable, but unfortunately they only offer 2D adjustment(forward and backward adjustment). In some case, I wish that I can move the angle so it is more comfortable when playing games with controller etc.

I am 162cm and by using the chair at it's lowest height, the lumbar support and headrest is at the limit of what I can call as usable. My feet also just nice touch the ground with lowest height setting. I think if your height is lower than 162cm, you won't be comfortable with this chair. On the other hand, I think the chair is better for someone a bit taller than me.

On to the design, I like the grey color mesh, and it look just like the picture. It look professional while not become overly boring with all black like typical office chair IMO.

The tilt(Synchro tilt) is until 135deg if I am not mistaken, and you can only lock it at 3 position. Rocking with it feels comfortable and I have yet hear any weird noise when I use it.

Thinking of buying an affordable recliner. Does 1.5k for a local recliner selling at Harveey Norman, Maju Home etc worth it compared to those no brand items on Shopee?

To be honest I found those recliner too bulky and prefer something like Ikea Gestad but Ikea recliner is not too comfortable.

Any other good brand that is affordable that I can consider?
