reportedly, samsung is also one of the manufacturers that plays the same tricks on part swapping to 970 evo plus, https://www.extremetech.com/computing/32637...g-its-customers however, from the video in the article, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_jee5Q08OI it's different from wd's case, because it's more like relative improvements (same controller as 980 pro; increased size of slc cache) pandera999 and antaras liked this post

with lazada bonus RM9 for every 99, it seems that I can now get the CS3040 2TB for RM884 are there any known reliability issues with the E16 controller that this drive uses? antaras liked this post

Those with local manufacturers warranty is like RM16xx.are there any known reliability issues with the E16 controller that this drive uses? Those with local supplier warranty go from rm12xx to rm9xx for 2 TB. |

QUOTE(John Chaser @ Sep 14 2021, 10:16 AM) Something very fishy though. Those with local manufacturers warranty is like RM16xx. it was from PCByte, so they're pretty reputable, though it is an oddity that they could provide 2TB + 3600TBW + Gen4 for the price of sub 1k.Those with local supplier warranty go from rm12xx to rm9xx for 2 TB. But I've actually cancelled my order cause wife was clearly unhappy with the purchase as she said I already bought too many NVMe's recently I went with 32GB RAM instead John Chaser liked this post

T-Force Cardea Zero Z330 2TB went into external enclosure for use as portable drive. 2x Samsung 980 Pro 2TB waiting for my new gaming laptop to arrive to replace the original 512GB from Dell. Going to see how the Z330 performs in my normal use. If am satisfied with it over the next couple months, I might get more for a special purpose rig I will build later this year, since it's the cheapest I could find for the price. Endurance of the cheaper drives is not an issue since I don't expect the usage to reach anywhere near the stated levels. I didn't benchmark the drives, just based on real-world usage experience. So far am happy with the cheap Z330 which is being used as portable drive with my older laptop, and for temporary backup of 2 laptops. antaras liked this post

Anyone knows how to tell the new and old xpg sx8200pro from software?
I bought 1tb last year (before the scandal) and another one last 9.9 Did crystalmark test but couldn't tell the difference.. Likely due to the old nvme was 90% full capacity I don't wish to format both drives just for speedtest |

Hi, Just bought my laptop and was wondering what's the max capacity of the M.2, slots. But I read somewhere online that there is no limits for M.2 slots?
