FYI fibre cable bending no issue as long as NO PATAH. if PATAH means totally no line at all..

I subscribe TIME and installer charge RM300 then i said by right got free cable 30Metre (or 15M cant remember) start from door to modem.
They call their boss and said confirmed count starting from door, so they re-measure again and this time says RM150 (RM160 discount RM10) i paid them lazy to argue.
Then i measure by myself and found out its way way below the length and straight send email with evidence to TIME.
Installer called me after few days and said come to measure again...after measure refund back CASH to me.

Biasalah.. semua mau cari makan. If you argue with them lagi teruk they might sabotage your cables. I think you can afford that small tips right?

My was frm their damn tm box 100m away. It kena hit lightning. They even admit to me. Then my SnailyX got bad dc dc lose sync (yes I am still dsl at time). But I seen them laying new wiring the road phone line. Of cause I blame them. Even after I rage quit they rewire again the box and they still going there to tinker a month later. The damage start frm their box.

they outsource their fiber laying service.. even time also.. they dun lay their own cables.. they get outside contractor to do it

Yup.

Imagine 1 house they charge RM60. and 1 day they do maybe 5 house? that will be RM300/day.
1 month 26 days (exclude Sunday) so RM300 x 26 = RM7800

OK lah maybe some subscriber smart like me no kena tipu...say 10 ppl no kena tipu that means RM7800 - (RM60 x 10) = RM7200 side income

RM7200 maybe they need to share with 2-3 parties = RM2400 side income.

Add their fixed salary maybe RM2000 ?? they getting RM4400/month per person.

U mean ISP? Yeah i know.

But if fault is out-of-premise then its not chargeable to consumer but charge to ISP.

Just to say, fiber splicing is quite expensive as not all Tom n Jerry can do it.

Whether it is justified, that is up to your pocket. If you dont like you can always find other contractor to do it for you.

bending of fiber cable cannot cause this ....i think he gave you a fast one .

the fiber cables must be bad quality .

is this a condo or landed house ?

RM60 to replace fiber cable from where to where? outside pole until Fiber Termination Box at your wall should be free.
inside the hse, fiber got 50m free as well, dunno now got change policy or not la.

last time when I get unifi, they even need to erect a cement pole to support the fiber cable, since my hse too far from their distribution box. FOR FREE.
every time I ask them to do any service also free, since the fiber cable always broke outside my hse. replaced full length as well.

according to TM installation guide, standard installation is FOC. but i dont know why contractors always charge RM60 for the first 50m
last time my installation at old house also kena RM60, my company installs 2 unifi also kena RM60x2

i guess its just unlucky situation where u have bad technician...

I just did relocation not long ago too..

from floor 1 to floor 2 flat.. (extra 20 meter cable i think)

they say no charge.. but my bill havent come la ....
