I PO from senq's website but have not received the call yet. Looks like we would not receive it in the first batch If this is true then they should at least offer us a refund. Btw they posted this on their fb page few hours ago:

Its just software issue regarding rebuilding storage when transfer from ps4 to ps5 and then putting it on rest mode

If I have to guess, senheng probably realise some of their branches took deposit early booking, so now not enough to fulfill online purchase.

What time did u go? I went there at 9:45am and the sony guy told me all 40 units of disc version for batch 1 already sold out. Can only leave name for second batch.

So someone's prediction from last thread is correct. Those merchants that are not mentioned in the authorized list don't have privilege to preserve the first batch release. Senheng, senq and harvey Norman. Even though they are sony official partners. I guess those merchants are the one to be blamed since they didn't coordinate with sony first before start taking order. Or they just simply take order first and then come up with this 2nd batch excuse if anything happens.

Well, one could opt not to buy from them. Continuing to buy from them would definitely encourage these unscruplous sellers to continou scalping these consoles in the future.

Why would you do that? Dead launch day consoles aren't uncommon. Revised console doesn't mean there won't be another issue.

That's unlikely the real reason.
