I tried 2 attempt... first.. bend the bracket.. but I can't bend the bracket evenly.. so I switch to the tape one... just stick a layer of tape to the bracket.. make the bracket thicker n screw it back.. to force the top slide closer to the lower slide.. .. it work.. smile.gif

biggrin.gif from what i've seen N82 doesn't have USB port ?

all Nseries AFAIK have USB port. N82 use microUSB but cant charge via that port when the main intention of the new port is it can charge the phone through it.

Yup, the back cover can be taken off without a single screw needed. Search youtube for the keyword "n95 slider fix". Also there's a few blog with the same guide.

Yup no USB port but for those who like imaging device so much, they should go N82.But my N95 look more exclusive since using slider technology. rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

After checking the spec, N82 uses an even smaller USB port called MicroUSB. Still no charging through USB, though. Perhaps like SE phones, charging through USB seems not stable and enough power... hmm.gif

You can just stick a thin layer or card or tape. That'll do fine.

CSL is one of the AP. AP basically means approved by SIRIM but not supported by authorized distributor (for Nokia they're Avaxx, Zitron and I think one more but definitely not CSL).

So, CSL is still AP ler...But not too bad la, maybe RM50~RM80 extra you paid compared to others...

Thanks to the people here who updated earlier and gave good advice.

Nokia N95 Software version 20.0.015 released - 26 November 2007
This software version includes battery, stability & performance improvements enabling you to run faster and longer - giving you up to three more hours of music (up to 30% increase, from 9h to 12h of music playback). This release also includes a new version of Nokia Maps which provides faster positioning, faster Map Loader, and free 3-day navigation. Free N-Gage demo games are included and other games are available via Download! With the Nokia Music Store now live in the United Kingdom, users can enjoy the convenience of instant over-the-air downloads, regardless of where they are.

After updating your device software to 20.0.015, and restoring your personal data, you can optimise the menu layout by installing the New_Menu_Structure.SIS file. Download and install this file to rearrange your menu layout specifically for SW 20.0.015. Reboot your device to see the menu changes.

Changes in the new firmware
New Welcome application

New camera software and tweaks from the 8GB model - FAR faster shot to shot time, with 'Processing image message' during any delays. I suspect the image processing algorithms have changed too, to remove some of the remaining artificial edge enhancement in the v12 firmware.

Long press on camera button launches camera if shutter is open

New My Nokia SMS tips and mobile web portal system

Demand paging (for ROM applications) with 30 plus MB free RAM after booting.

Search 4.0 integration on standby screen.

Old multimedia menu still there, i.e. it's not the new style

N-Gage game previews (FIFA, Asphalt) and portal/shortcut to upcoming N-Gage client, as in N81 and N95 8GB

Nokia Music Store client, although the store server hasn't been updated to handle the N95 yet - maybe this'll happen later today

Keypress bug gone(!), I think

Music player has a new visualisation and also remembers where you got to in a podcast, so you can pick it up again later on

No auto-screen rotation, looks like I was wrong predicting this, so we need Samir's RotateMe after all - someone please help him get this signed ASAP!

Assorted other minor tweaks, along the same lines as the N95 8GB, with video ringtones and theme animations

This is a random issue-affecting only a few unlucky users-I think?

Actually I was experiencing problems with the music player before the update. Adding songs to a playlist would always cause a restart. Now, music player behaves as it should. It took a long time to launch the first time after the update but since then it's been running perfectly. Refreshing the library, adding songs to playlists...all OK.

What surprised me the most about this update is the battery life. I used to receive only 3 or 4 "low battery" alerts before the phone shut off. Now, I get up to 16 alerts (sixteen, believe it or not). The last bar seems to go on for a very long time, unlike before. I'm very happy with this update.
