n95 8gb uses flash or harddisk as the 8gb memory?

1. 6630? You mean the icons when the phone is at standby? Huh, 6630 have this function? 

2. Some occasions may show up few days earlier but some will only show on that particular day.

3. AFAIK, it's not possible to change the font if you are using chinese supported firmware. Not sure true or not. Someone ws telling in N70 discussion thread long long time ago. 
Well, you may give another try. Here is a site where they tell you exactly on how to change the font...

4. you have to change the setting, from 'ask for connection' to your preferred one.
Nop. N95 8GB does not have external memory slot. It's only 8GB internal memory

2. U mean the bday that you set at the contact? That will not show up. Another bug for Symbian 
You have to set it again separately in your calendar

4. Once you connect to your browser, press option > settings > access point & you will be able to change it there.

Can put bday reminders. It's only that the bday that you set in your contacts are not shown. You have to set it in calendar in order for it to show...

V12 has the 3.5G icon shown when you are at HSDPA area + got assisted GPS (AGPS) thing. 

Well, comparing symbian and non symbian phones, you should c the bright side of symbian type phones. Like the ability to install more applications. Will this little calendar problem make you become this dissapointed in a symbian phone?

I wonder why some ppl gps can connect withing 30seconds but some others like mine have to use 10minutes++ to connect it?? Im also on the newest firmware with AGPS too..

Ya, most of us have been very patient and understanding with clawhammer. His first post was already full of complaints. Fine.

Then he asks for help and advice etc, and people here try to help him. Then...AGAIN...he keeps bringing out his laundry list of complaints.

He is obviously looking for the PERFECT phone which does not exist in this world.

And...hehe...ya, I admit I'm short-tempered (hey, I'm female) and have little tolerance for childish posts.

i personally doesn't like SE phone, the software itself has very slow response and i prefer nokia because the software is so fast  . Yes i am a person who wants to press a button and the menu must RESPOND to me immediately.

I feel shocked when i got my K800i because of the slow response and horrible menu interface and decide to change to Nokia N91 within 3 days. Been loyalty nokia customer since 3210,3310,8250,6650,6630,6680,N91 and now N95. I even bought K810i for my sister and i still feel SE phone is still horrible for myself. Actually this is because i am get used to Nokia phones and same goes to you clawhammer, you are SE users so you must feel that Nokia is not what you want.

After my N91 has been pickpocketed so i decide to change to N95, i found that this phone is very superb! (5/5) and it deserves what i expected! LCD/Camera and menu interface is much better than N91

I've been using this phone for 18 days so far and i experienced couple of problems which is

1) It automatically hang up (1 ring) when someone called me plus without notify me that someone (mis) called me before. After done hard reset, now back to normal and lock n load.
2) SMS sending progress logo never disappeared, also done hard reset and back to normal.

Total Reset: Once for each problem

I suggest you guys to backup the contact for your own good!
The only cons that i can give about this phone is

1) Low Battery Life (hopefully the future firmware will improve it like N91)
2) Firmware still not stable yet and produce those stupid problem like i mentioned above.
3) Cannot support chinese font if i use AAC format so must use back MP3 la! 

I think u are not so smart buyer..  after buying the phone with RM2K++  and complaint about the small little thinggy..  u should spend ur money on a SE phone indeed since u prefer them..  and they don't even hang....

those small little function you require.. I serious think u should sell ur N95 and get a PDA...  at the first place actually you should already buy a PDA phone instead of Nokia..

we spend much more than a "normal" phone here.. the reason is obvious..  N95 with GPS function and a 5MP camera..  if you don't need this two thing.. which I read u don't even use the GPS, you should save half of your money to go for a N73 or even a K810i which u prefer more..  it never hang.. SE.. 

To me.. those extra application can install in Symbian are extremely important and I don't think a Java Enable phone can do so..  I having NES/SNES emulator that run on my phone which support easily more than few thousand of games and turn my phone to be a portable gaming mechine to me..    I do install extra Video player on my phone becoz my phone now support divX file which the Original real software doens't support....  I also use my phone to record VGA resolution video which give me a very good playback when I having training sometime..  not those silly 3gp QVGA 15 frame pre second video....  I use my phone as a portable Instant Messanger and again I do install extra application on it..  redundant?? why I do so?? simply becoz the original IM doens't support Wi-Fi..  I play IM on my phone just through Wifi so I don't have to pay anything extra...  I also turn my phone become a portable Dictionary.. A dictionary which give me more words than a 3 inches thick conventional dictionary...  Beside that.. when there is no laptop with me.. just with wifi.. I can do tone and tone of things with my phone..  nokia .. which having one of the best mobile internet browser in the market now...  and etc etc etc... 

just the first 2-3 points already make me feel all my single cent worth spending on this phone... 

conclusion..  U really shouldn't buy an N95 or even a Nokia phone maybe..  u should spend ur money on other phone...

ooh...the irony. The only thing i see you complaining about is the calendars. For a problem as tiny as that, is it really worth all yr time whining? If installing games, apps, etc is not what you want, why did you buy it in the first case? to show off? To try something thats 'in'? I understand that you can write anything you like in a forum but c'mon, writing to complain bout the same thing repeatedly is whining. How old are you anyway?

LOL, there is a big difference between posting your 2 cents' worth and constantly complaining. Reread your own posts, why don't you? The tone from the very beginning is negative.

When we encounter problems, we state the issue and look for a solution instead of telling everyone how dissapointed we are that the N95 isn't able to do this and that like other phones. If it was just ONE post where you list out what you dislike about the N95 and then move on, that's fair. But to keep on doing so like a broken record, is exasperating. That is why I suggested you sell the N95 because it seems you aren't happy with your purchase.

And you're right, this is a public forum where you can say what you want. In the same way, I have every right to express my opinion of your posts as well.

You will notice that while a few of us are able to criticise in a calm, civil manner, clawhammer's responses are very emotional and infantile. So I think you are asking the wrong people to relax and take it easy.

they are plenty of "almost the same" and u spend a lot less in nokia line..  almost every single N series are "almost the same" if u think N95 "almost the same" like 7610....   

Actually..  my point are still my conclusion..  U shouldn't buy N95 since for u.. it "almost the same" to most of the Nokia phone..  there are so many much cheaper one available for u..  6300 more customisable.??  alright.... .. ...  whatever you say...  beside..  that is not a symbian phone.. 

I think u should blame urself on buying a N95 since those function u looking for are not available for u..  and those major goodies of N95 u are not using..  is like u buying Helicopter to go to 10km away from your house to work... 
as I said..  he should only blame himself buying a hammer to cut a tree...

Ok clawhammer...tone down a lil' i do sense frustration in ur posts (though posting ur comment isnt against the rules). Dun defame/insult ppl by saying that ppl are of lower class or uneducated etc when they are put off with ur criticism. Do ask us if u hav prob n we will help u out. Regarding the invalidity of ur cert, change the date to a year later n try reinstalling.After that change ur date back. BUFUNG n satur9, no matter how much he whines, how childish he can be.....u two hav already scolded him enuff....so ppl...y not let's move on n make this forum a feudless one?shall we? cheers!!

If the error stated 'certification is expired' or something like that :

- try to set ur phone date back to 6 or 9 month before and try to install it again.

If the error 'certification constraint error' or something like that :

- then this apps/games/theme need to be resign using ur own cer files.

symbian r really great for me, being using Samsung, SE, Moto, O2 but get back to symbian..What i really like about my N95 is surfing internet thru WIFI while having a coffee using only one hand

My N95 also had a loose slider after 1 week of use. I just send it to nokia service centre for repair & they must have done something very good because after that, my slider is very tight. Now have been using N95 happily for 5 months  no more loose slider

need to send it to service center meh???    one time my one tight until cannot move anymore..  and I have to loosen it.. 

my also 2months ++ use loh.. 

for those who have n95. what it's like to the real life of battery usage? does it gets you 2 or 3 days before charging.. doing your daily routine/stuff with the phone.
