I tried to update my firmware and I got this error message " Internal Module Error"
Sometimes when you update your phone it goes wrong, as it seems from looking at the forum! By this I mean people have been updating the phone and getting random rastarts and lock ups since! Reflashing it seems not to fix the problem!
I too had this problem, and have fixed it! I updated from 12.0.013 to 20.0.015!
Reflashing caused the same problem so I worked the problem isn't the phone at all, but a corrupt download of the firmware!
NSU will only download firmware if it hasn't already, which is why reflashing your phone doesn't solve the problem! So to fix the problem you have to delete the corrupt files and run NSU again!
Trouble is, the files are hidden away as system files so you have to unhide them first!
Here's how to do it all...
Click "Start", "My Computer", "Tools" then "Folder Options"
A Folder Options Window will open.
Click on the "View" Tab, Then under "Advanced settings"
Check the "Show hidden files and folders" radio and
uncheck "Hide protected operating system file (Recommended)" box.
A warning will appear when you uncheck it, don't worry, the files you will be deleting are not system files, but have been marked as such by NSU, so click on "Yes" and then "OK"
Now navigate to the following location on your Windows hard drive (Usually C: on most PCs)
Documents and Settings
All Users
Application Data
Nokia
Nokia Service Layer
A
nsl_service_module_00001
www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite
Products
rm-159
OR copy and paste the following without the quotes into the address bar and press enter!
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\nsl_service_module_00001\www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite\Products\rm-159"
Now select all the files shown and delete them!
That's that, now to re-hide the system files,
click "Tools" "Folder Options", Click on "View" tab.
Check the "Do not show hidden files and folders" radio and
check "Hide protected operating system file (Recommended)" box. Click OK!
Now run NSU just as you did before! New firmware will download!
After doing this, I am now the proud owner of a phone that does what it was advertised to do so many months ago!
These instructions only count for the N95, but will work on other n-series phones if you go to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\nsl_service_module_00001\www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite\Products"
There will be a folder in there for each phone that you've used NSU for! Just delete them instead!
I hope that this helps helps someone!
