Wah, what's your normal operating temperature? Missing Wi-Fi.. that a classic symptom to a possible disaster, perhaps..

Just FYI: AMD Turion TK55 Max Temperature is 95C

Taken from site below:
AMD Turion Temps

Anybody find info on Max temperature of 6150
?????

So we now know that if your AMD CPU hits 95C you're headed for trouble. It also means bad design of notebook if its allowed to hit that temperature. Or maybe a failed fan.

really really interested with the temps for 6150
but unofficially i read the forums indicating nvidia's own software monitoring warn level set at 130C. SO hitting 110C while just on an animated browser page is cause for concern.

For ZM-80 processor (like me), follow the link as follows:

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Turio...M80DAM23GG.html

Well, it can operates 5C higher. It means mine can be operated up to 100C. Wow, can boil water like this.

I am keeping my CPU temperature below 65C, normally running at low 60-s. Better be save as prolonged heated component is not that good for longevity.

Quoting for the same website on operating temperatures and ways to tackle this as follows:

get a cooler pad. my TX1221AU run ard 55-60 C with cooler pad. without jumps up to 80C.

Get a good one guy. Your TX cost well over 2k, getting a RM20 cooler pad don't make justice.

Your TX is running under standard power mode (which one?) or customised one?

Yep, it would help.. but if your moving around or in tablet mode, it is going to be a bit ackward to carry the cooler with you too.. whistling.gif

Dang, after HP so called replaced my tx1316au motherboard. now i'm having problem with wifi device disappearing. Which I never had experienced before. I just wonder if they just took someone's faulty mobo and put in mine. to test for them.

I've recovered to factory settings also same. then update latest wifi drivers from hp site also same. updated nforce from hp site also same. same same wifi disappeared.....*sigh*

also used nvidias latest 15.24 nForce drivers also no wifi device.

gonna try with my vista64 bizness

Think a few more trips to HP service center and I will equate HP=ACER. And never consider them again.

P/S maybe i better just kill the mobo totally by setting HighPerformance and leave it running CounterStrike 1.6 haha...

ya i know.. I just had to run thru the process to make sure it's hardware and not software. Which is hardware in this case. As such HP have fixed my notebook with a faulty mobo. What a service center HP has.

Ok am on CS1.6 now. High Performance let it run.

Cleared the area. Hope I don't burn down the house. rclxm9.gif

no prob. lucky u.

seems like with 15.24 drivers temp stays around 110C maybe slightly lower. on Counterstrike as I can tell. So i guess If i CS all year long.... Its not very taxing on the notebook. oh well.... maybe should downgrade back to HP drivers... haha...

Anyhow will have to send notebook back in for missing wifi.

Like me, we rely heavily on wi-fi, for networking and internet access. If kaput, big problem.. Hopefully, HP will not take long to repair the baby..
