i've tried search tx1221au in kL but seem out of stock.

luckily when i look at hp website, they are selling online!

price is the same, 2999..

.. but haven't receive my order yet (hp call me and said i will about 2 weeks... to long la tunggu)..

..
so far anyone have problems with this model?
o yeah..

wanna ask, the remote control can use to change power point slide ka?

i was told by the salesperson it can..
*
How is the online buying with HP? Mind to share with us? Would like to see how HP carry out the online buying stuff.

About the remote control to change the power slide. It really works. Do not worry. It's pretty useful for u to use while presenting. I can use the remote control to change slide with the distance of 3-4 meters.

I have one unit of HP TX1221AU.

1. The performance on TX1221AU is only satisfactory. My experience with Adobe Photoshop CS3 on it is terrible, drawing a vector path can sometime takes 1-2 seconds before it shows up. Can anyone share their Photoshop CS3 experiences here?

2. Heat has never been a problem for me as long as the fan is quiet, and it is quiet. I don't know why people complain about the heat.

3. Tablet screen is not sensitive I agree. Write harder on the screen. It works well for me.

I'm getting this notebook replaced with TX1224AU, which is running on Turion. I hope Adobe Photoshop CS3's performance will improve because I use that a lot, designing is my career.

I will share with you my experiences on TX1224AU if anyone is interested.
*
anyway, what is the big different between the TX1221au with the TX1224au. mind to share? what is the price difference between this two?

About the heat, is there anyone using cooler pad for their TX? anyone suggested to use it? One thing i dislike the cooler pad is becoz it absorb air include dust to ur lappy. that is why im still not using cooler pad at the moment although i was told to use it. Pls provide me suggestion whether to use it or not.
Thanks icon_rolleyes.gif

TX1221AU is running on Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 (1.7ghz, 2x256 L2 Cache) while TX1224AU is runnng on Turion 64 X2 TL-58 (1.9ghz, 2x512 L2 Cache).

All I know is Turion saves battery life while Athlon doesn't. Performance-wise, no idea. You can decide for yourself though.

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Produc...9_13912,00.html

It's RM2000 price difference for these 2, and I am led to believe that there is no reason to fork out extra RM2k for a processor of a higher spec.

Also for those who are planning to buy, please do note that:
- nVIDIA GeForce Go 6150's performance is at the same level as Intel's X3100 Integrated.
- HP Online Store sucks.

Spending RM 2000 is for higher spec of processor totally not a worth. somehow upgrading from ahtlon to turion is not a big different, review shown that this two processor doesnt have much different on speed.

My personal experience to HP service is also bad as well due to the purchase of carepack of my TX, thus i dont really like the service provided.

NVIDIA 6150 is not a good graphic ... for those who want to get it pls notes that this is a minimum graphic. Enjoy!

recently i was at a store and there was a TX with Turion. a check at teh Vista score shows that there is marginal increase in performance. The overall score is still the same as the GPU is the same old 6150 which is a budget GPU. My TX1221AU runs on 2GB RAM and on certain sore i did better. however, i must say tat the Turion TX runs on 1GB RAM.

Given that there is a RM2K difference, i think TX1221AU is a real bargain. Just whack in 2GB RAM. Put in more if you can....!!!

i believe twinhead offered u better specification in term of intel processor. If you are intel supporter then u shd go for twinhead. If you are not mind about the processor then HP TX totally suits u better like what i had now. HP win everything but the drawback is only the AMD instead of intel with lower speed. And i believe twinhead offer u lighter weigh.

I suggest u go for HP, juz like what im having fun with my TX now hehe.....

I have upgraded my tx1221au to 2G ram,
but still my notebook is very slow because of Vista.
I'm planning to UPGRADE my OS to windows XP.
Anyone has tried this  before ?

Hello, to those out there who wants to downgrade to Win XP, I have done it and am actually dual booting with vista and xp and i have all the drivers.
PM me if u need any help. Cheers. BTW, even the touchscreen works in normal xp and all the other features as well except some of the buttons on the screen panel.

i remove all the Aero interface stuff and Vista is bearable (read... BEARABLE). Try doing that and if its still S.E.L.O., "upgrade" to XP.

the only thing i hate abt XP is those interface change so much that it takes a longer learning curve.

Is there any way whereby we can make it works under windows XP environment ? rclxub.gif

which machine you're using right now? does it come with preinstalled VISTA?

when i install XP, the installation could not detect my harddrive. Did a search online and found out i need to slpstream the SATA drivers in my XP installation CD. I tried that but still i cant resolve it.

ANy idea??

You MUST use Windows XP installation CD with SP2 slipstreamed in order for Windows
to detect your SATA hard drive during installation process.

Slipstreaming Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
