QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Feb 10 2023, 02:04 PM) Not sure on pledged FD. But property yes, can be charged to both Affin and Affin Islamic, 2 charges instead of 1 charge. My AFFIn Duo cards were charged rm25 sst (x2) on yesterday 12Feb, and my rebate of rm80 should come on 14Feb. I think it is no longer viable to use these cards by pledging with rm5k CASA. When and how should I cancel the cards without paying the rm25x2 sst but still enjoying the incoming rm80 rebate? With the new t&c I think it is also not viable with rm5k pledged FD.

QUOTE(sweetpea123 @ Feb 10 2023, 08:00 PM) to me, still have to spend RM3050 instead of RM3080 to get the RM50cb, until I get a better cb card. Currently using PBB VS/PBB Plat-i/Affin Duo , any other good cb card I should look at ? Look at Maybank Amex Islamic Amex Ikhwan 8% cashback on online spend (exclusion ewallet reload , but if you know where to bypass it is good) Cap RM 50 per month, spending required RM 630 only. Double quota on Rahmadan and Syawal month = RM 100 per month / RM 1260 spending Whole year potential cashback RM 700 - RM 25 SST = RM 675 This post has been edited by Haloperidol: Feb 13 2023, 07:41 PM

Say i can get 2% extra out of the 5k fd somewhere else of 100/yr. So rm30x12=360, sstx2=50. Basical my benefits/yr is only 360-50-100=210 with a spending of 12k, effective 1.75%. Better for me to pledge fd to get PIB VisaPlat.

I will reconsider mine when my GST comes. I applied a year later than most of you guys. I started skipping those 1.x% when I am out of sources to spend. Yes, you should go for PB Islamic and other cards with higher % cashback.

QUOTE(ktyong123 @ Feb 12 2023, 02:24 PM) Is this two statements contradicted? "*Maximum cash back earned from e-Wallet transactions is at RM30 per month." "Note: Maximum cash back earned from e-Wallet transactions is at RM50 per month. The cash back earned resulted from this revision will be reflected in April’s statement cycle onwards." updated FAQ already fixed the typo

If the same things applied to PIB VisaPlat: 360-25-100=235 with a spending of 9000, effectively 2.61%. Instead of pledging fd, i will try to use epf/ASMx statements to apply CC as I no longer have taxable income documents.

With the new t&c I think it is also not viable with rm5k pledged FD. If there is any transaction after 12/2/23, you can't avoid the SST. You won't give up your next transaction - RM80 CB right? Just assume you earn RM30 instead of RM80. It will take a while to cancel the CCs and get back the FD, just use Affin Duo Visa/MC for next few months for RM30 monthly CBS, 3% is quite good, ignoring your FD %.

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Feb 15 2023, 01:12 PM) any reason that u wun get rm80 for this month if u have fulfilled the conditions? Ppl were very concern since the tnc effective 12th. There are instances from other banks that banks said the monthly cap will follow new tnc as long as your statement is after the effective date. This put the concern to bed.

Try asking customer service?
Just checked with CS, as long as your statement date is after 12th March 2023 then maximum cashback = RM50 no more RM80 even though we spend before 12th March 2023
