Hi wondering if anyone has applied for the Affin credit cards online recently? I submitted an application and received an email acknowledgement saying that someone will be contacting me. The website did not ask for any ID or documents. Seems weird.

Yes, apply recently this month and someone from card center will contact you to get documents, and get the card within 2 weeks..

Just an update, they still need me to submit my income doc so the email is just a bait LOL. So it's a failed attempt for me .

Affin sales agent said that new card members must collect credit cards from a branch with thumb-printing using NRIC.

Do we have to sign up for Internet Banking by filling up a form at the branch? Or can we sign up easily using the credit card (if approved)?

Thank you

Not sure if this is a new rule but I got my cards from mail drop.

No need to fill in any forms (as far as I can recall) but must walk-in to the nearest branch to get it online banking done.

My time 1-2 years back, collect CC at Affin branch. Also ask to activate Internet banking, so no need go two times.
Then immediate goto ATM to generate PIN, go home setup Internet banking.
I don't have any other account with Affin, so consider as new customer.

For now yes. Don't know how long it will last. Apply while they are still giving 3% CB

Usually they take around a week to make decision. If you feel that you have been waiting too long, you can kinda "nudge" them by just giving them a call and request an update on your application status.

each card has its own feature/benefits, not shared between both cards

each card works independently
