so basically you didn't sign on any hardcopy form?
*
Nope, just e-sign on PDF application form and email+attach docs to agent as requested. Never step into branch or meet the agent physically.

I can be considered as NTB to Affin. Plan to open online account since that is the reason I choose pickup from branch.

0% for 6 months if NTB ?
I read the T&C seems like interest free. Sure no strings attached ?
What will be the monthly payment requirement or lump sum at the end or ... ?

Received my first cashback. Just to share here, Prudential auto-debit will get CB
Also, CB is based on statement-date, not calendar-month.

5/11/2020 - Apply at branch, officer said will submit form today
11/11/2020 - Application appear in eCCRIS as pending
13/11/2020 - Received call from Affin HQ for verification
16/11/2020 - Office received call from Affin for verification
19/11/2020 - eCCRIS show Approved by FI (Like finally huu!!)

Just to double confirm if "Approved by FI" means 100% it is success right? (newbie here biggrin.gif) as I yet to receive any notification from bank and before that when I ask officer she said still in process.

Overall good experience of applying, except IVR tell me "Unable to process" cry.gif
*
Yes, success. Congratulations. Wait few more days before check IVR.

Which is the best option to pay MBPJ to get cash back with credit card?
*
Use CC that can get cashback to top-up BigPay CC (earn %)
Use BigPay CC to pay govt/local council related (earn Big Points) brows.gif

A more delicate approach is depends on which govt,
e.g. MBSJ can route using e-Pay with Bonuslink plus Boost/Grab, i.e. pay using e-Wallets
IWK pay direct website can scan using Boost also
DBKL - use MOBIS app with BigPay CC
Wilayah KL quit rent direct website using BigPay CC
Selangor quit rent direct website using BigPay CC
Air Selangor claim using points from Grab/Boost, else got many channels also like e-Pay, Boost/Grab/TnG/etc., last resort direct BigPay CC
TNB is the most difficult one, always change/removed, previously eLinking/Foneapp/TnG at 7-11, worse case is also use BigPay to pay.
icon_rolleyes.gif

TL;DR use BigPay CC for govt if there are no options for eWallet.

How about outside Klang Valley?
Do you have a guide for other states too?
*
Use the first rule above:
1) Use CC that can get cashback to top-up BigPay CC (earn cashback %)
2) Then use BigPay CC to pay govt/local council related (earn Big Points) as long there is website/channel to pay online with CC.

Last time most of govt only accept cash or bank transfer or direct counter. But due to recent covid, they have open up more channels for CC and eWallet. Read the fine print at back of your printed govt bill and normally will show payment modes, look for the online/website and dig further.

(OOT) Also, current BigPay has 1k CC top-up limit per month, so have to discipline and plan in advance
- every month must top-up 1k no matter what. My highest balance was 5k+
- always prioritise BigPay CC usage for govt related bills monthly/quarter/half/annual

That is also reason I re-route Affin and SC JOP to pay direct to my other non-govt payment. Last time when BigPay has no CC limit or 5k/month, I centralise all using BigPay for multiple CC cashback. Unfreeze & Freeze BigPay CC immediately after use.

big pay is actually a prepaid credit card  shakehead.gif
*
I know, everyone knows. So your point is ... ? hmm.gif

My earlier point above is to highlight what method for CC to get cashback for govt related.

If Affin/SC JOP/etc. pay govt related, CC will not get cashback.

If Affin/SC JOP/etc. top-up BigPay, then use BigPay to pay govt related, CC will get cashback.

QUOTE(muscaa @ Feb 28 2021, 01:10 PM)
yes it's a prepaid card
not credit card
that's confusing when you put there as "BigPay CC"
*
ah ok. BigPay is prepaid card.

QUOTE(muscaa @ Feb 28 2021, 01:12 PM)
your "CC" here means "card²" or "credit card"?
*
CC = credit cards. i.e. not BigPay.

I am planing to use the Affin duo for auto debit for my prudential insurance. It is possible?
*
This is better, but have to manual pay monthly via PruAccess website.

Affin -> Boost -> Prudential

Earn extra boost coins can redeem cash voucher or telco prepaid/postpaid top-up, etc.
