Hi Lefty

Curious of what the estimated budget would be on ID and furnishing a 2,749 sqft house for my own stay - but limiting to living, dining, kitchen, master bedroom and home office. Planning on leaving 2 bedrooms and the family area upstairs unfurnished, just with lighting/fans fixed in.

Its new, so the only additional wiring would be for additional plug points in the home office, kitchen, and the master bath.

Cheers!

Hi Lefty,

Appreciate if you can share your expertise ideas for my dry kitchen.

Initially my planning was like this but then the dining table is very close to living room and my wife wishes to have an island for baking.
So I plan to break down the wall (circled in red) to expand my dry kitchen. There will be a big window (circled in green) after breaking the wall.
Things to have in my dry kitchen are an island, fridge, oven, microwave, and a sink.

What kind of design should I go for? U, I or L shape?

Hi, I'm very new to home renovation and would like to seek your advice. First off, I really do appreciate you offering your advice here! smile.gif

This is a 2,207 sqft condo. What do you think the estimated cost will be to fully renovate a unit like this with a reputable ID?

Hi IntensiveBytes,

Is my pleasure to serve back the community because the community had been good to me too =)

Quite a big condo you have there !

I will say it probably will cost you somewhere about RM220k for the whole renovation. This estimation exclude of any tiling works and civil work ya.

Thank you and happy renovating!

Hi atyy88,

To me the below orientation is better. The one with sitting is island, so that the people that working at island wont face the guest room door and they can interact with the people sitting on the dining table

Happy Renovating!

Hello .. if we are to engage ID like yourself to renovate an old house, which requires kitchen extension, re-wiring, etc .. do you handle the drawings, structure approval with the local municipality (ie government).
Meaning as a customer, i will said i have budget of RM200K .. rest is your design-center will handle it?

Hi, appreciate your advice.

This is the layout of my condo which is completing soon. It will be our home, around 1250sqf.

How much roughly, in terms of renovation cost to include built in wardrobe etc.

Kitchen cabinet, flooring and aircons have all been provided by the developer.

Just want a rough idea to budget for our renovation.
