That's what I like about tng very transparent

IMHO it's still 20%, as you can't cash out the money.
So if you spend the money to buy RM 25 worth of goods, you're paying RM 20, so that's a 20% off.

Or probably put it this way, it's 20% effective discount on your spending, or 25% extra cash you receive for your top up

Hint: 1/1.25 = 0.8 or 1/0.8=1.25 (depending on your point of view)
If calc your way Shopee is 31% more.

Either way we get more for less.
You get RM5 more, I pay RM5 less.

actually why only shell accept payment from boost and tng

i wish other fuel station would accept boost/tng as well

it's the operator of the station. they can add more value-add services or just simple dont bother. each station operator/owner has some authority in managing their station.

Yes it's individual shop's decision, many other F&B outlets too, such as Little Penang Mid Valley accept GrabPay but KLCC doesn't and Ho Min San Mid Valley accept Boost but Pavilion doesn't.

I once asked Little Penang KLCC boss why so, he said not about the commission etc, it's very tedious during closing, as he has to close the account for each different payment method. He said he can't manage.

What we should do is when we buy things from the various stores to mention whether can use TnG etc. That we like to use it. If merchant keep hearing this, maybe some of them will start accepting TnG. This is good for us. Actually this is what I've been doing

As I'm frequent visit to Petronas Hartamas, they accept TnG e-wallet for purchase of drink

When I visited Petronas Ara Damansara, the staff was shock and said only cash for purchase of drink 😒

on 20 August i did ask for RM20 reload pin at watson but the staff said 18 August already sold out at Taman equine jusco
