to be fair, its latest design characteristic for a nowadays car, especially China cars who I believe keep on looking at European cars as benchmark, reference points. One model even copies and makes a similar door speaker, door trim, digital speedometer combined with HU together, even their 2.0T engine + 7 gear DCT have similar Hp/ Torque as Mercedes C300 2.0T engine.

good news is older models are still on sale

things are still better with tactile buttons imo. just look at honda's ac control with their clicks. or changing driving modes with a button.
all these new 'minimalist' design are stupid
1 thing spoil, whole car useless
digital speedo and engine wanna copy is fine, but make things more practical is the key
wanna set aircond temp also need to look down on to the screen and swipe and poke is distracting
plus a big ass screen in the car, could be blinding if it doesn't have a matte coating and reflect the sun's ray

yeah but who would wanna buy unless they throw price from 110k to like 80k?
why get the old when new one has a better refined engine?
though the new x50's interior and looks of the car kinda meh to me.

Saw at X50 FB group, rm19k rebates one SA, the rest 16k rebates for flagship old model

it still will sell. even 10k discount. on old model.
because new 4pot engine still need time to show its brightness. just like 2019~2022-ish, tons of brand claim x50 killer no same class oversale x50 and then ativa fanboi claim their 3pot highend than x50 engine but their engine didnt even have balancing shaft due to cost and weight issue. lol

wanna to clean throttle body or intake.

because sometime on traffic light, on auto hold D1 or N
car will vibrate with fixed interval, slightly giving it a little throttle/accelerator vibrate will gone for now.

at first i tot rpm dropped too low, but after observation..rpm still same.
changed sparkplug like 5K mileage ago, so i suspect throttle body or intake dirty now.

issue: it doesnt happen on every traffic light stop, so reproduce kinda hard as it random appear

Or could it be the gb mounting or some kind?

cant 100% say its not.
but most likely not, as engine or gearbox mounting broke, it wont intermittent come and gone right?

Interesting find on the flywheel issue,

recently I took to service center complain about the noise, they said it is actually the grounding cable, they swapped with a new one the sound is gone, but need to order so they put back my old one, turns out even with my old grounding cable the sound is gone.

I think that's good news that the flywheel wasn't that bad anyway

You know what's funny? Even they changed to this new 4 pot, I saw comments in China forum suspecting this new 4 pot mills were in-house developed probably purpose is to cut down paying loyalty cost to Volvo and they think the 3 pot could probably be the better ones

So far I have no issue with the 3 pot though for 4 years and counting.

But would be interested to try out the 4 pot someday

Is the kind of loose noise at acceleration that is more obvious at 6th gear, people often call that Flywheel noise, the SA admit this too.
