I supposed I got an imitation unit instead of the real thing. Here are some photos of the lousy resolution.

its more like your android stick run on lower resolution like 720p or lower. if it got setting, try check.

You're using Headunit Reloaded sideloaded on the headunit with Android Auto on your phone? If you are you can use the apps available in Android Auto.

The setting from the XUDA stick is very simple, nothing to change resolution. And waze also pening, cos it keeps sending updates, blocking the setting button. And the update is only telling me map is updated as my car moves. Annoying. It must have been an imitation unit. No user would recommend it. So I have returned the unit by post.

Side loaded waze won't have the low resolution matter. It's just slow. XUDA waze is faster but extremely low resolution. When viewing the screen with human eyes instead of camera, the jagged edges are more visible. I supposed the camera app helped improved the image slightly, so it is not so clear in those pictures.

This statement is a bit overly exaggerated but you'll get the idea : The round play button looks like a durian if you view it personally.

You should only need to make a Bluetooth pairing between your phone and the XUDA dongle, then WiFi should connect automatically. Maybe you can also try updating the XUDA dongle firmware if you haven't done so.

I did not try that. That resolution is unacceptable. Perhaps try another unit.
Can your aliexpress XUDA play other apps other than just spotify and waze?

I'm running HUR with AA on my phone, you can use whatever apps are allowed in AA, for example, Waze, Maps, Phone, Podcasts, Youtube Music. I think you need to go into the HUR graphics settings and play around with the resolution & DPI settings.

Perhaps not time to try the current XUDA yet, since VLC cannot run or normal youtube. Thank you for sharing.

Hi… when you changed the flywheel. Did they drain the radiator coolant? Now topup coolant asking me to pay for it. A bit pissed now only they say and not covered in the warranty cost.

They didn’t mention before and during change. Only now after change.

If do not agree the cost they will add back old coolant and unsure if any contaminants inside. In other words they leave me no choice….
*
No. They did not charge me on radiator coolant nor did they mention anything of draining the radiator coolant.

The new x50 features a bigger screen with built in apple car play damn + 4 cylinders. But seems like they centralized all the controls to be via the screen, will take some time to get used to that.

Also, I don't see the gear anymore?

new solution is to install aftermarket HU which are can be the same size or bigger, buy those with more advanced processors + higher RAM for smoother usage. Plan to do this routes once warranty ended by end this year. Inb4 fed up with outdated, laggy as snails HU, even AA, ACP laggy which are by right not putting weight from HU performance

problem they move the gear selector to the steering stalk replacing the wiper. I wonder what happen if someone accidentally mistaken it as signal indicator? will it accidentally select N or reverse when the person it depressing the brake wanted to turn left.

Anyway, i believe the engineer had this being thought off when design it.

it's about practicality
gear knob changing to gear stalk to imitate luxury brands is still okay
but throwing the light switch, ac controls, mode selection , auto hold assist/ control also all on to the IHU is kinda stupid imo.
once that thing spoils or hang, then your car cannot do lots of things. Replacing it out of warranty would probably cost a lot
with all the electronics in the cars nowadays, its a risk.
