I haven't installed yet on X50.

I've used 70mai on my other cars.

Feeling wanted to try DDPai Z40 after reading reviews here & also from my friends.

I look at it on shopee and have the hardwire kit option as an add on. is the hardwire necessary? will it void warranty if we use the hardwire kit?

i didnt install hard wire kit; sellers say dont void warranty but who knows until you want to make a warranty claim; if install you have to check your battery frequently cos the whole car depends a lot on the battery

in fb, some left their car unlocked overnight and the battery is discharged next day, cannot start car

ah okay. I read that the hardwire kit is for 24/7 parking monitoring. As for your experience, how good is the camera? at night is also good view especially for the rear dash cam? did you installed the dashcam yourself or got help from shop?

ah okay noted. Since it is hardwire I scared later on Proton will revoke warranty if anything happens and blame it on owner.

Anyhow, I'm using 3M Crystalline all over my X50, will it interfere with the GPS function of the dashcam? Should I go with a dashcam without GPS instead? Anyone with 3M Crystalline tint can confirm if their gps dashcam works?

Hi all, updates for those having issues with airbag failure.

Past 2 weeks have intermittent airbag failure appeared. I assumed it’s loose connection anyway brought to Proton to check.

End up it’s items (shoe, umbrella) I put under the driver seat and it touched some wiring there that caused the airbag failure alarm to appear. Now it’s empty under the driver seat.

I have 2 questions.
1. Wind issue above 80kmh (not the whistling sound), since there’s a fix for newer batch, did anyone managed to compare between the old and new batch?

2. TPMS, is there any issue if I rotate the tires? Do I need to bring to Proton to swap the tire locations?

every 15k to 20k km. this will extend the tyre life as front will eat faster than the rear

Oh u are not aware regarding the famous airbag failure error tu ya. Yup. It is due to items putting under the front seat. Those items will move around and disturb the cable down there.

Q1, dont hv any chances. Also curious to know what proton did to resolved it.

Q2 tu, some owner did tried rotating the tyres and the tpms will recalibrate themself after few KM.

Ya... Now don't have any items under front seat but the Airbag failure came back today. -.-
Either I need to go back to Proton. But do you know which wire / socket I can try to push back to solve this issue?

Unfortunately i am not sure which one. But u can try check urself and trace the cable. I havent check cables under the seat. But i know there is an airbag module under the seat based on the video shared earlier (flood video).
