hi guys, I read from here that proton branches offer to install power tailgate as additional accessories after we purchase the car? Is this confirmed? So we don't need to opt for the urban/utility package to get the power tailgate. We can opt for only the power tailgate now. Is my understanding correct?

Yes and no.

If not take accessories package....mostly likely that auto tailgate from thirdparty, where doesnt cover warranty by proton.
not sure about warranty if thirdparty install proton tailgate.

Protons mood to sell these packages seems to have disappeared. Anyway my branch never had any interest to sell.

ah okay. So we still need to take the package after all. bummer as the package is a bit on the high side.

The power tailgate is without kick sensor right? Does proton offer to install with kick sensor like X70 for additional price??

yep, its 'sad' when we need to buy something usual on market with extra price on proton.
but when got problem they need to fix it, under proton without any warranty drama.

Waited for 2 months 25 days, finally got my car 🤩🤩🤩 even though not an easy ride from the beginning. All worthwhile though 👍👍👍.

Hi Guys, not sure if anyone has the same problem as me where Squeaking / Rat noise can be heard from the driver dashboard / steering whenever I go through those speed breaks on highways / bad roads but not bumps and some weird rat sound will appear from the dashboard . It's driving me crazy and just wondering if anyone of you here is facing the same problem

yeah I agree on the warranty part. Just a bummer that we couldn't buy the power tailgate separately.

After asking my SA about purchasing the power tailgate separately, she gave me the picture attached. So it is possible to just buy the power tailgate, but the price is almost 3k lol. So I opted to take the power tailgate alone and not the urban package. As I already put my downpayment together with the urban package earlier, she said she'll refund the price difference later.

Wonder why people sending their CBU X70 to him instead of to Proton for warranty claim. How long is the transmission warranty for CBU X70?

Can the passenger inside the car unlock from their end or need to climb over to the driver side to tekan that button

Passenger can double pull the handle to open their door even if it's locked.

Driven for 8 months @ around 8000km milage. No such issue.
