use two bucket method with MF wash mitt & PH-neutral shampoo should be fine
no need to use jet pressure washer if not so dirty

for interior, i use Meguiar's MPC, just spray to MF cloth & wipe down the dust, so far so good
you can also use damp MF cloth to clean the interiors

X50 interior is leatherette, not true leather

Yup I double down on this as he know what he is talking about.

Hi all! Currently still patiently waiting for my car to arrive (Exec).

Just wondering if current owners can advise on the quality of the speakers on Std/Exec as there are only 4 speakers.

Is it possible to install the tweeters outside without voiding the warranty (I assume there may be wiring involved) or can I even request for the 2 extra speakers to be installed in the SC when I receive the car?

Thanks!

The sound system in the flagship donot lack hi frequency in my opinion.
The sound quality is average in my opinion. The bass and mid quality is lacking more than high frequency .

Any good suggestions to improve it without voiding any warranty?

Possible just to add a sub-woofer under the seat or under boot (utility & spare tired storage area)?
Or changing the 2 door speaker or all 4 or 6 speaker to 2 ways or 3 ways speaker configuration without touching HU unit?

Getting my car soon, also thinking about options can be done on audio department.
Of coz, don't expect high budget on this.

Thanks.

I suggest you listen to them first and see what do you think because not everybody has high quality demand in audio, maybe you are satisfied...

Personally i think changing the speakers is ok, if any issue on the car and u want claim warranty which is not related to speakers, they cant tell u change the speaker also since cover up.
Personally i change my car headunit and speaker as soon as i got my CRV few yrs back...haha.

Dsp which is a pnp. Saw many x70 user done it and satisfied even with stock speaker. Some bought at rm1k+, some even pay rm5k for dsp alone.

Mine, x70 still stock as my view, Bluetooth, Spotify just ok, only radio sound does sound blank. Not audiophile person

Yes, listen to the stock sound system first.
IMHO, inside a car is not a good place to enjoy clear music and sound. It is because no matter what type of car, there will road, tyre and traffic noise intruding into the cabin. Definitely a no-no for audiophiles.

1. Go to settings > Audio > Equalizer
2. Choose EQ preset to “PROTON”
3. If you use app like Spotify where you can adjust EQ, maintain all range to 0 db which is center by default.
4. PROTON preset shoots high to max so it can be very piercing sound while having just ‘ok’ low range bass
5. So you need to reduce high range after 150hz, -2 or even -6
6. I personally reduce to -6 because the high range is just too sharp

Bro remember once you choose “PROTON” EQ preset in the car, don’t change car EQ after that, adjust the EQ on your phone app, the one you use to listen to music like Spotify.
