Yesterday I was told by my SA, my orange Flagship has been confirm.
So today SA comeback with the amount for the deposit.

Last minute here, SA said it is a must to take either Urban or Utility package. They car come with it.

I was a bit angry with this, as from start keep telling me it is not compulsory to take any package.

thats bad, if dont want the package? have to wait longer?

If dont want mean wait until Proton change their production or policy.. only by then you get your car.

Why you went and assume 50% immedietly in the first place instead of asking more details about his financial situation?

If the car comes with it, why would they let you choose which package? They just wanted to force customer to take either package. Sigh. Proton oh proton. So what did you do? Did you insist on not taking the package or gave in?

Bear in mind there’s no way to MOD your car to have a proper working 360 recording without affect your car infotainment system as of now and perhaps til forever.
Air-con you could always bring up the wind speed to reach the back even if there’s no Rear AC.
Suspension tuning is so normal you can ask your mechanic to do it for you so it’s really nothing special as long you willing to fork out abit more.
Not to say these added features are not good but it’s just not essential because China and Philippine have hot weather too but they rarely see them complaining about no Rear AC.

Sokay bro now hard times they try to potong customer money as much as possible. Good for you I couldn’t keep Orange, had to go with other color because of stock issue.

It’s simple. I’m not paid by them, I don’t work for them. No reason for me to go to that extent to ask so much some more it is their privacy.

Thanks for promoting the initiative to report for such behavior.
But I think the best solution is to pass your SA contact to him. He needs a good and responsible SA + boss.
That will solve his question.

So your unit is ready to pick up and you have already paid the deposit ?
If no chassis is allocated to you yet you can always cancel and find some other dealer and SA.
Otherwise I think there is nothing much you can do. Follow eichikatsu’s advice and proceed to make a report.

If you really like the car, if I were in your shoes, I will take the package, sell the parts you don't need.
But it's only my opinion.

1. Power boot is a good addition. A lot of review complain there's no proper grab handle to open the boot.
Power boot if installed outside is maybe RM1'500, RM1'800 with installation. Add Proton tax maybe it's about RM2'300.
By Proton you don't have to worry about warranty voiding if they want to threaten like that.

2. Selling other parts such as smart tag, side window cover, mats may help to recover some cost.

3. If you cancel now and find a new SA, and by the time have to pay tax, it's actually cheaper to take the package at least you have additional things.
Proton Appreciation Package wanted to implement in January was garbage and I thought they would at least give the add on package for free.

4. Also cancelling your booking and getting a new one, being out of the first 20000 booking, there will not be free 1st service parts (RM200+) and free 4th and 5th labour service charges.

I don't think making consumer report will help to solve the case. Just my 2 cents.
It's a capitalism world. If you don't take the car, someone else would gladly take so Proton or dealer is milking whatever they can now. Profit is profit.
