But your immediate response was suggesting that if a person has a housing loan, better not taking x50 car loan, which was too quick to jump to conclusion in my opinion. After we commented further, you then replied 50% loan will be a burden which comes to my previous question, why did you assume 50% in the first place?

But I do understand your intention was to share your opinion and advice, I was just confused by your statement "If you have house loan, dont take car loan for X50 and then your next statement with assumption 50% loan.

I have taken the urban package on my thinking s follows:-

1) If dont accept means maybe have to wait till no sst exemption only can get car, thus I still need to pay 4-6k to top up. If before 2021, I won't accept becoz I was considering car value lost when coming to 2021 but anyhow I didn't get my car before this.

2) Powerboot is nice to have, but for me was not necessary and additionally no kick sensor is the real disappointment. When your hand is lifting many stuff that is where powerboot with kick sensor come handy else I can use my hand, X50 boot is neither heavy or too high for my hand.
Of coz if I want, I was thinking after 1 yr later, then install outside.
To me paying Rm2500 (value I gave Proton) vs outside Rm2000, the only pro here is 5 years warranty.

3) Carpet and sun shade (est. Rm300 vs Proton RM400) , both is something I need, but I was thinking to get medium grade mat like trapo. Now I have to give up until the coil mat need to change. I dont think coil carpet is something can sell easily and nobody will look for it also.

4) SmartTag, before Covid-19, I'm using atleast one or twice a month. My SmartTag is actually quite bad condition, if you are familiar 2nd gen always has problem with it LCD screen. So I take it X50 built-in smartag (est. RM 450 vs Proton Rm600) is not that bad, especially if you crossing Penang 1st bridge. RFID (I do have it on my Honda City) dont get the same amount of discount.

So thanks everyone for your inputs here. I do see as Proton customer here, we feel same here that Proton policy is not par with other brands on customer satisfaction or transparency.

Thinking positively, Proton force sales is stealing est. Rm750, not RM 3500.
If you were install outside will also need around Rm2.7k but one maybe said, outside can get better features and quality which I agreed, unfortunately this is the choice have to make to avoid paying SST.

360 camera doesn't mean you change the camera it will work. the original camera is capable of supporting high resolution. the activation has to be done within the headunit. not by replacing the camera.

the 360 camera has a dvr mode. but kinda useless as it records in fisheye

If camera hardware given by proton already HD but proton decided to downgrade it with software I am sooooo f disappointed. 😕

Just hope someone can change the software setting to HD, or proton give update to make it HD.

Test drive Proton X50 yesterday.

Proton SA says if I order Flagship or the second highest tier, PLUS with a RM3k++ package, I will be prioritised. Can get car in 3 months. If I get standard or third highest spec, PLUS RM3k++ package, can get car in 5 to 6 months. He not happy I looking at the lower spec versions. He says standard spec so far their outlet just got one order fulfilled.

But he says if I DO NOT take package, will take 6 to 8 months for higher two specs, and more than 8 months for lower two package.

What nonsense is it? I ask if he holding the order. He say he don't do that but when car comes will give to others. He says many from September 2020 still not fulfilled.

Is the packages were installed in factory or done in sc? If at Sc no wonder most sc will do it. But if in factory mean they done per batches then sc no power to select which variant without package to choose from?

seems its installed at proton appointed 3rd party installers at SC; proton memo was shown at FB page last time

Most of the people will receive SMS booking confirmation, but there are alot of customers did not receive their SMS too. Some of them did not receive the SMS but got their car already. Don't worry so much but you may have to ask your SA for clarification.

Ignore all the promised period. They themselves can't control the allocation. My advise will be look for other SA.

Are you sure it’s originally came with HD but Proton hard set to low resolution/quality ?
No one would do that because they could really just change it with lower cost camera to save more during manufacturing process.

l suggest new owners read the manual carefully.

Proton specifically mentioned that your pressure cleaner gun should be at least 30 cm from the car surface.
sending to car wash need to be careful also.

I notice the front laser is on the front bumper and if the item is submerged while driving, it will be damaged also.

The leather should only be cleaned by neutral soap and water !

It's either do or don't do, don't overthink about these.

use two bucket method with MF wash mitt & PH-neutral shampoo should be fine
no need to use jet pressure washer if not so dirty

for interior, i use Meguiar's MPC, just spray to MF cloth & wipe down the dust, so far so good
you can also use damp MF cloth to clean the interiors

X50 interior is leatherette, not true leather
