updates: if you have texture poping up and texture streaming problem. then the rageconfig.cfg doesnt fix it for u, u might want to NOT use the fix.

I actually just use the cache folder tweak, and then based on the nvidia tweak guide, the some maxPPF command, it works for me, texture pop up still there but is minimal if i doesnt move left to right so fast. and is steady 60fps, damn i love the 60fps.

try it out, the 4096 value for the fix actually make the game less pop up but the graphics is worst, so dont use the fix and let the RAGE auto-balancer works, and it will be better.

Thanks to alex82, here are some settings that might help in reducing the texture pop out significantly and eliminate screen tearing:

1. Download and install the latest drivers.

2. Force V-sync

3. Add the following command:
+ cvaradd g_fov 20 +set com_skipIntroVideo 1 + image_anisotropy 16 + image_usecompression 0 +set com_allowConsole 1

4. Enable GPU transcode

Yup, that the Anarchy edition pre-order bonus. The other is Sewer Missions DLC which is included in all retail copies.

IMO it's linear, yet gives you the choice of playing the game at your own pace.

the graphic looks good from afar, but when get close view it looks like sh|t with a very low details.

a bit disappointed, installed everything.

Still having missing textures if i scroll too fast ...

but overall the physics in this game looks ok, quite realistic for the AI movements and the sound is good as well ...

So far the game feels good for me, occasionally the texture pop up thingy is there but not affecting my gameplay much.
1 more thing bout this particular quest involving signalling up the flare.
I've done all except returning back to the quest giver for the reward.Instead i went straight to the next part to Wellspring and after i did some of the new quest there, the mission failed when im arrived near Hagar's place to turn in back.
Dunno why it failed though,weird.

because the place where you got the quest was closed down, so you cant complete the quest?

I think that might be it, because when i went to that place, it was closed down because of
the bandits attack.Demn rugi 100 bucks quest reward.

IIRC, the pattern for the lockgrinder u got it early when u first came to that place.
I've already completed the other quests, but i forgot to turn in that last one, hehe.

well, the money is not big deal though, you can earn them quite easily..the only thing that is hurt is your completion % (achievement)

quickly checked MSI Afterburner for GPU temp,goes to 63c (similar to folding environment)
full-blast the fan on the GPU 70%
a bit noisy,but didnt care as the sound blaring from my speaker louder than the fan noise
re-load RAGE,play again
0x1e BSOD,smell something crisp from casing
quickly restart,retrace that crispy smell
smell gone,restarted,google for 0x1e for win7 64bit
possible issue:video driver error
rollback to stable driver,discarding beta driver
back on stable driver,tested on Portal 2 full graphics,all is normal
set reminder to self:next time,go for 1280*720 if wanna see all eye-candies..

whoa, so i need to rollback to the previous driver too? (GT550M) so how to rollback?

Eh i'm using the beta BF 3 nvidia 285.xx driver too, so far no problem.
Can run Rage and Portal 2 fine.Also WoW and other games too.
