City Broadband which among the few available ISPs available on Allo open network is still a smaller based ISP with fewer IP blocks assigned to them so dynamic public IP is very precious resource for them not to run out of it.

If you really need public/static IP can always consider Maxis/Celcom/DiGi/Astro or upcoming ViewQwest for residential plans. They should be able to provide without much issues.

If you want to get highspeed internet on WIFI network, please buy your own router.

Weird, i think it not the router fault. Cos from my understanding, ppl using Tp-link C6 can hit 500Mbps. I am curious on some thing.

1.Do you know the reading of your fiber line?
2.Do you mind to share the speedtest screen shot?
3.Other than testing with your Intel AC9560, have you test with hp like Samsung S20 and above or Iphone 12 and above?

So far so good. Didn't have any slowdown or disconnected. It also has a better routing than TM.

Besides responds from the other thread, I've called their support line before (yeah, I am that desperate to have symmetry speed), and I've been told a subscriber need to have good reason to get public IP. I told him I have CCTV that requires port-forwarding, and I also have several other ports that required the same thing, and the guy said, those reasons are acceptable to get public IP.

Allo will provide 2 devices (separate onu and router) or 1 device (all in 1)  to new customer? If customer want to use own router have to ask allo customer service to change the device to bridge function? The installer (who on-site to lay the fiber) able to change the device to bridge mode?  Thank you

your PPPoe login credential can be found in ALLO website under your account > Profile but won't show the password.. Assuming ALLO holds it, doesn't want customer to fiddle with the ONU setting.

Guys what should I tell them about my problem. I had called the CS also and they seem like not understand my question. I tell them when my internet connection is lost, the default gateway on the WAN port is unable to ping. But somehow they keep on asking me it's I want the username and password for the router or not. The 1st picture is when the internet is lost and the second one is after the connection is back. How can I tell them about my problem? 



Update: I got a call from Allo and they told me that the IP address that I show above is wrong. They want me to configure it to 192.168.3.254. They told me that IP is the standard IP address from Allo. But did I misunderstand something or what? I have to configure the IP to where? This is how I explain to them before got the call.

Hi to all you otaimers. Newbie here. I'm hoping to get help to decide which fibre provider to choose for my home.

Recently Allo was ready at my housing area in Ipoh and this is the first high speed broadband after more than 10 years using Streamyx. Before I manage to submit my application, I heard the news Unifi also just launched at my area and it's up to 500mbps.

If you were me, which one would you choose?

May I know what is the default password for D-Link DVG-F2452? Because my friends who using UNIFI have the same router and he has some network issue. I need to access the router to check the problem.

now unifi also not give public ip anymore to lower package (30,50 and 100) based on this post in the pdf (CGNAT_faq_community.pdf)

Mine is on private IP. Been using three months and have no problem with torrent. Not sure how the others.
