I got the Malaysia Mechanical Keyboard fb link from this forum. I tried twice also failed to join. Is only allowed expert to join instead beginner? Never see any such group before. Seems like not welcome beginner at all.

Already settled with the admin. It's tactile keyboard switch question. Tried Topre answer first time rejected then try the rest all rejected too. End up Admin said he may accidentally rejected me during my first try.

Just did the foam mod on my Keychron after sitting on my fat ass for awhile. Was easier than I thought to take this apart and put it back together. At least it still works Managed to improve the sound while typing. Now the only question is what keyboard to buy next?

My friends Razer Blackwidow is acting up, chattering for some letters, and the "W" key need to be pressed very hard for it to register. Also some of the LED are dying out. I believe the model is the one with Razer Green.

Lol no thanks. Tired of group buys. KAT Space Dust is my absolute last preorder and wait and even that I might actually refund and put the money into a higher tier board instead. Some guy was flexing his mech to me the other day and I actually happened to google it and it was a first edition Mode Eighty and fully assembled it was $800. He then told me it was his cheapest board and he had more expensive ones. Some people really bangsawan. I'll probably considering getting either:

1. Akko Mod 003 (I'm starting to fall in love with the 1800 layout and this is gasket mounted too!)
2. Keychron Q1

Or absolute last choice due to the recent QC issues:

3. GMMK Pro

I'm waiting for my Q1 too. Wanna do this for my son and wait for my endgame board sometime this year and then retire gracefully.

Is the socketable switch in Tecware Phantom Elite kb compatible with GMMK Pro?

I preordered Q1 as well, hope it turns out good (with mods). it'll be my first 'custom board' but has been doing mods and custom switches for a while now.
same here. haven't never gotten into custom mech because of the never ending waiting game during group buys.
which is why i never got into GMK caps as well (partly because they're extremely expensive).

It hasn't been released yet so probably not. Both the Akko Mod 003 and 004 are still in the preorder phase. They release later this month. I'm like 70% favoring this over the others.

Looking hard at Keychron Q1 as well but I need the knob lol. GMMK would have been a sure buy if it wasn't for the recent QC issues.

Do you not browse reddit bro? They drowned their current batch in lube. People have been having to take theirs apart just to dry or swap out the stabilizers and pads out.

I guess it's not like high profile GBs where prototypes are sent to influencers to review to drive up sales.

I think that should be the first thing you should be doing to any DIY keyb. For the gmmk pros, is to take out the stabs, clean and lube them, if you have durocks and don't fit in the al plate, just keep the GOAT housing and frakenstab it after doing the holee mod. you can also add in a piece of plaster on the pcb before screwing the stabs on.

Amongst my gmmk pro's, what i'm having problems are not so much QC, but design flaws. gasket implementation is bad, GOAT stabs are not GOAT, could have used a smoother rotary encoder, QMK/VIA implementation not working as intended.

if you're looking for prebuilts and non DIY keybs, go with keychrons, slightly better QC than the cheaper china clones.

So my Unholy Pandas just arrived from China. Took 3 days total which is insanely fast.
