Agree. We have to monitor the validity as well as no 365-day validity add-on.

Summore, the Hotlink app is not open to any Hotlink account. To login, there is an OTP code send to "the" Hotlink number.

XOX, TuneTalk & Yoodoo app can use one app for multiple accounts. Install the app in our device while 5 SIMs can be distributed all over Malaysia.

Dear Hotlink,
Please "upgrade" the Hotlink app allowing centralized management for multiple accounts. TQ.
*
That's fine. Put the sim in nearby phone, log in app before sending out the sim.

senior use digi postpaid, got -RM10 for 60 above

That's nice to know. But can't find much details on the 38 plan I'm interested in. Speed after reaching monthly data quota, unlimited social media app, etc???nevermind. Not hijacking this thread.

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Jun 7 2020, 11:34 AM)
yes, they are transparent about it, which is good.

512kbps (0.5mbps) is actually a decent speed for web browsing, read news, read emails, whatsapp, facebook.

imagine last time streamyx also came with 512kbps@ RM66/month
*
Indeed, 0.5Mbps sufficient for basic Internet needs.
3Mbps 50GB + 0.5Mbps is still unlimited, that's what's Maxis thinking...

Anyway I'm OK with that, believe that mostly people's also accept it.

But HUP should consider topup monthly Hotspot pass for additional rm5/10 then it will perfect exactly.

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 7 2020, 11:43 AM)
FUP Limit for Calls = 90 minutes per call; no cap per month

Source : Careline123

TS, please update page 1 of FUP Limit table for HUP5, HUP12 and HUP35/45... TQ...
*
Good to know, 90mins per sessions is acceptable.

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 7 2020, 08:17 PM)
Based on Careline123 interaction, the agent informing that no cap for total minutes per month but 90 minutes / call limit will be enforced.

It's ALL network too... and from 0:01am to 11:59pm...

So, no hidden agenda in terms of FUP Limit for calls quota.

p/s : Don't count the special numbers like 1300, 100, 1313, etc. None of our telcos allow free calls to non-toll-free services...In this instance, if we subscribe to HUP35/45, ensure got credit balance to reply SMS and make calls to special numbers...
*
Wrong one.
There is one telco Yoodo who offer free calls 1300/1800.
And all networks 2000mins for Rm12 per month, NO TIME LIMITS, I think because got called over 90mins before.

Conclusion :

RM10/month = Unlimited calls to ALL Networks (90 minutes per call)
RM25/month = 50GB (3mbps) + <165GB (0.512Mbps)

HUP35 is RM30 nett... there is a trick to topup RM30 and get HUP35...So indirectly, it's only RM20 for that 50GB+165GB data...

To be fair, they need to have minimum commitment cost from all customers to cover their operations costs.

Remember last time Celcom comes with the rm38 postpaid plans which it attracts quite a lot of people to sign up or to switch to it. There are even existing users on the legacy plans now. That time 3GB data monthly with 50 SMSes and talktime already can make a deal breaker as that time decent postpaid plan are all close to rm100/mo.

The hotlink plan is only rm35 monthly and one pretty much will never need to pay extra other than rm35 for extra usage, I would it is very good already.

I dun even mind to sign this plan for my parent to use despite that they not may really use that much becos the price is really low enough and no need to worry any extra charges.

omg...i'm currently on hotlink red plan also...now this...so should i maintain my Red Flex line? or the other really more leceh way is to port out to other telco first...then port back in...

Dear Hotlink,
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I'm willing to pay for that amount... However, hatters will flip table vigorously ... LOL...

Tagline:
You pay RM65, We Pay RM300 = 365 days together-gether ...

You are absolutely right. Besides students, these passes, RM35 and RM45 alongside Digi LiVE Prepaid biBonus RM28 are really suitable for retirees too who seek mobile connection at minimum cost.

you should have ported out and go back in to hotlink unlimited plan now.
no brainer.
Hotlink flex postpaid actually is not very attractive even before this, whatever you can can also pretty much get the old Hotlink Red prepaid.

yeah. coming a 'perfect' prepaid plan to kill their own existing postpaid plans or even the rest of competitors will be a stoopig move to do.
this will also limit the chance for them to increase their profits by coming up a even better plan next time.

not to mention, no matter mobile plans or home broadbadn plans, the price do not increase over time according to inflation like any other things like properties etc. Even when moving to 5G, the telcos will need to upgrade their infra and offer free upgrade to the existing subcribers to move to 5G next time with at most price change. to be fair, nowadays telcos do not make profits as much as before.

rm35 montly commitment fee is totally fair for an individual subscriber no matter from telco perspective or customer prospective.
it is almost like one day rm1. even with all the FUP., it is a fair and 'almost' perfect plan to date.

yeah. correct.

512kbps is not too bad. one can still surf web, facebook, whatsapp which is more than enough for anyone.

the basic Internet that most telcos offer at 64kbps can barely do anything.
