QUOTE(Candy12 @ Jun 2 2020, 12:17 AM) I think they'll block tethering from the phone and will have a hidden FUP which protects themselves from people abusing it other than using outside the phone. This being Maxis, torrenting is probably blocked. It is impossible for someone to utilize hundreds of GB from just your phone unless you tether your line to the PC and do torrenting non stop daily. |

MCMC (and all national regulators) should ban the words "unlimited/infinite/endless" from cellular operators selling their packages to consumers.

Hotlink still dare to say "Truly Unlimited".
Abuse of the words "truly" and "unlimited" and insulting the intelligence of their potential customers. This post has been edited by tympg: Jun 7 2020, 07:36 AM |

QUOTE(UnknownH @ Jun 7 2020, 08:40 PM) That's nice to know. But can't find much details on the 38 plan I'm interested in. Speed after reaching monthly data quota, unlimited social media app, etc??? https://www.digi.com.my/shop/postpaid-plans...aid-to-postpaid |

QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 8 2020, 02:34 AM) Any reliable site to check coverage?most telco own overage site look not reliable and not accurate too. No telco is willing to give its total coverage data to a 3rd-party site. Even the coverage maps in their own websites are software calculations of the predicted coverage of the cell towers, not real-time monitoring. The best you can do is the general sites like nperf, OpenSignal and now Speeedtest by Ookla. They will never give you the complete picture because all their information is based by their users' contributions. You can also try GSM Association maps: https://www.gsma.com/coverage/ but I don't know how up to date it is. All the telcos we've been discussing in this forum are members of the GSM Association. |

Digi already has unlimited packages. They're called Infinite 100 and Infinite 150. But these won't appeal to the kind of people here. Better to keep this crowd away from Digi.

QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 11 2020, 08:49 PM) Too many cheapskates waiting to come in and trash the network. When Yes 4G implemented FUP on their Konfem packages, the loudest complainers were the heavy users who were attracted to Yes in the first place by the relatively low price. Some of them were tethering with modded modems when the TnC expressly forbade tethering. |

Ironically 1300 was introduced to overcome outstation charges and have a single national rate for the whole country.
But today in 2020 almost nobody pays "outstation charges" anymore so making 1300 pointless and for those with unlimited call plans, to be avoided. |

QUOTE(choosingname3 @ Mar 22 2021, 11:56 AM) I reload via Hotlink app rm 10 x 3 = rm 30 The LAST reload is the important one.How come my expire date still march 29? It’s been 1 month using Hotlink unlimited rm 35 1st time i reload rm 30 online banking free rm 5 2nd time i reload rm 10 touch and go free rm 3 x 3 time so total rm 30 and free rm 9 How come now my expire date still March 29? If the last reload extends the validity, there will be a new expiry date otherwise the expiry date remains the same. The system doesn't care how many times you reloaded previously before the last one. This is why they call it "non-stackable". iamloco liked this post

QUOTE(choosingname3 @ Mar 22 2021, 07:53 PM) Ya i know not stackable but until when? Until my expire date reach only last reload extend validity? Until forever. What do you think stackable means?Stackable describes the way validity works in a prepaid network. That's not likely to change. It's like you're asking "When can my car stop using petrol?" |
