QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Jun 3 2020, 11:04 PM) Doubts it. U mean the unlimited package is for hotlink Red?Maxis is very tricky, even got tablets Sim and this plans surely locked for mobile phones only instead of USB modem, tablets, mifi modems etc. Anyways, just wait next weeks for those pioneers first 🤠You can port in anytime as Hotlink Red portal only available in 6th Jun. If i port out now, then its not yet announced for the unlimited package |

QUOTE(NooBiE888 @ Jun 9 2020, 05:07 PM) Just to add my experience from umobile. 3mbps only slow during live streaming? How bout watching online drama and youtube?3mbps - normal surfing can la, live streaming nope, will stuck2 6mbps - just nice for live streaming. Hover around 600 to 700 kB/s For me, hotlink flex so far data wise very good. Potentially 3mbps also enough for now as my data heavy usage is manga . Nothing to live stream as no sporting events Should be ok? |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 9 2020, 11:39 PM) Errrrmmm... this auto-renewal thingy abit confusing for me... Sorry, wat do mean forBoth are Prepaid plans. So, let's say our account does not have any credit (ie Zero Ringgit), how the system to auto-renew...(?); Now, to me, I'd prefer NOT to have auto-renew. Why? Becoz, I will only topup on the next day after validity ended. Meaning what? [attachmentid=10512526] Meaning the system cannot "steal" our credit within 30-day active period. We do see a lot of cases whereby Subscriber's credit "disappear" due to looting of SMS scammers and what not. So, having zero credit in account "may" curb the issue. But what about if we desperately need to SMS or to call special numbers? Well... just topup RM5 (GrabPay only...?) or RM10 (other platforms...)...Validity still remain the same though...This is the MAIN disadvantage of Prepaid plans. In the end of our MNP out to other telco, the chance of extra Ringgit lost in the account is there upon ported out to other telco (unless we buy apps in Google PlayStore to deplete the credit balance...or by other means...). This is me---owww's final test for HUP35 whether are we allowed to MNP out on the 30th day with zero credit in account... Didn't see any TnC stating minimum Ringgit in credit balance BEFORE successful MNP out... Besides, the RM30 + RM5 is a brilliant move if we subscribe to HUP35. But for HUP45, must topup RM40 every month but the validity having extra 10 days in account for add-on purchase if needed. However, HUP45 6Mbps is for 30-day out of 40-day period. We don't want to topup RM50, buy HUP35 and later several ringgit missing due to SMS scammers... Conclusion: In Prepaid plans, make sure credit balance is always zero Ringgit to avoid SMS scammers... Besides, the RM30 + RM5 is a brilliant move if we subscribe to HUP35.? Btw, if i topup rm 35, i get 35 days validity, then i top up tomorrow another rm35, it will overlap? Or comes to total 70days? |

QUOTE(NooBiE888 @ Jun 10 2020, 06:39 AM) Just to remind again, that was what I experience with Umobile. Ic, then maybe i'll try 3mbps for my parents first, mainly for watch online movie & YouTube 3mbps will jam once a while when live streaming from website links . Need to refresh browser to connect back. YouTube sure ok as capped to 480p. I don't watch online drama so can't comment. After Umobile come out with the 6mbps plan, straight away I upgraded to it and live streaming was much more consistent. Maybe slightly better web surfing. ---- Now still not yet subscribe HUP. Thinking of just enjoying MCO free data as it's till year end and just use WhatsApp call. (Don't use much data when I am working anyway) Just reload to increase the validity. Surprising thing is that , there is basic internet given even though no plan at the moment . Suspect it's 64kbps. |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 9 2020, 02:09 PM) My take so far: Bro, no need to Kiv, just forget about celcom, they will break ur neck & drain ur juice as much as possible.[attachmentid=10512277] Hidden Agenda(s) to be exposed: 1) The phrase "Not applicable" is solid. This legitimately means no cap for CUP35. But as mentioned in Clause below: [attachmentid=10512291] I'm not happy with the contradiction of Clauses above. 2) If no cap for CUP35, why bother the confusion between 64 kiloBytes per second OR 64 kilobits per second? The contractions of Clauses in item (1) above is convincing me that they "will" throttle the speed "as and when they feels right to do so". I'm not happy with this particular hidden action(s) taken while "good innocent" subscribers may be "ACCIDENTALLY" affected by the impact as well. 3) ASSUMING at one point of the calendar month/validity credit, they "ACCIDENTALLY" throttle at 64 kiloBytes per second (assuming this unit is not typo error), it is at par with HUP35. However, they can also "ACCIDENTALLY" throttle the speed to 64 kilobits per second at one point without notice to Subscribers. I'm not happy with the units used for throttling activity. I'd prefer they follow HUP35 throttling unit as in 512kbps rather than using storage unit of 64KBps. 4) Forcing Subscribers to monitor usage when no cap on FUP Limit: [attachmentid=10512297] Why "forcing" the "good innocent" Subscribers to monitor the monthly usage when they have confident to not throttle the speed of CUP35 as in item 1 above? I'm not happy to know that there will be a scenario when "SUDDENLY" throttling to 64 kiloBytes per second (if this is not typo error) when no illegal activities is done by the "good innocent" Subscribers. Conclusion: CUP35 has been erased in my memory as of today. Will revisit/review again next month to see if any changes in the TnC and FUP documentation. Case is KIV... and Back To Topic, please... I used celcom for many years, their hidden terms as u mentioned above is to force u to buy add on data etc, thats why 64kbps Later on, they cap at 50gb limit, once used up no choice, u got to buy.. Happen to my company corporate plan few years back, unlimited, but after 1 month changed to 1gb!! Gila!! Cause t&c is upto them to change as they please |
