The sim it self already trim into 3 size you can use nano or put in back into micro or standard size if needed.

I dont think you need to manual configure the network except something unusual happen...mine just plug and use.

Ok noted with thanks.

It seems complicated, according to this thread:

Ya. I was googling for answer, and the result appears.

I've been using the same sim card for my smartphone. So, not really familiar with the 3 in 1 simcard.

Found this video. Now I understand how it works:

No worries about the SIM card size. Most HUAWEI 4G modem is using microSIM size.

Anyway still suffering slow YouTube during 8pm-12am 😤

Maxis modem is only 4G capable.

I think Huawei B525 might be the cheapest 4G+ router which costs around RM500. I may suggest you Huawei B715 or B818 at RM600+ for better performance.
Huawei B315s should be able to run Maxis. Why don’t buy a Hotlink prepaid to test it?

Hi, I'm planning to get maxis one go since my house area no unifi and i'm stuck with 10mbps unifi lite. The Huawei B818 is a lot more expensive than the B525, is it worth the RM200++ difference?
What's the capped speed on maxis one go? Customer service said 64k bps after 300gb, but someone here said 30mbps after 300gb (which is still good).
I'm currently using maxis on my phone also, as long as my house has good 4G coverage and good speed, the maxis one go shouldn't be a problem right?

It is worth the extra.
I have both B525 and B818-now testing with Unifi Air.
B818 is a future proof router and it is also 5G ready.

It really depends on each location. I don't have Huawei B818 at hand, so I can't compare it with B525. Furthermore, B818 is not 5G ready router and a 5G router costs over RM1k - https://www.lazada.com.my/products/huawei-h...6.html?search=1
For my location, a comparison between Huawei B618 and B525, Huawei B618 is a little bit faster at around 5~10mbps, mostly in the early morning. So, I believe as long as your location has a good performance, any router would be fine because after consume 300GB.

For usage, it depends on what you use most. And yes, after 300GB consumption, your speed will be capped to 30mbps until your next billing recycle. AFAIK, YouTube, Facebook, and Play Store downloading/updating will be capped to 512kbps.
You can still download/upload at 30mbps, online gaming is not affected. Check my previous post: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...post&p=97387166

I'm getting 4G in my house with maxis so I think coverage should be decent.
I mean 30mbps after 300gb consumption is still pretty decent considering I'm using only 10mbps Unifi Lite now tongue.gif I'm mostly more concern about my ping and how stable is the connection when gaming. My current unifi lite once too many family members connect and watching videos etc can spike to 100ms++ and become unplayable mad.gif

The one sold at Lazada is the international version (English version, not sure
of the one from Taiwan or from other sellers)
With regards to B818, read it somewhere (when researching on this product),
not from this seller that it is 5G ready.
I might be wrong.
Even though there is no converge for Unifi Air(according to TM point> walk-in),
I paid deposit RM100 and tested.
Download speed around 40-70 Mbps on B818( not talking about speed test here).
On the MR200, the download speed around 8-10 Mbps.
That is the difference between B818 and MR200 if you are not comparing with B525.

Just got both my B818 & my maxis one go sim and tried it in my office with average 50-60mbps download (speedtest.net). Not too bad, considering my office has 4G+, wanna bring back home try as my house only have 4G. Praying I'll have good speed too unsure.gif

Certain spots in my house can get up to 60mbps download (speedtest.net) but the ping when it comes to gaming is very very inconsistent. I sometimes get 60ms, fluctuates to 90ms and could go as high as 1000ms wtf (valorant), totally unplayable.

Just a suggestion or you may already use "Find Optimal Location" to find
the best location for your B818.
If you get 90% it will be stable.
With this on the HManager, the RSRQ, and SINR
will show as "Good" or Excellent.

I am not satisfied yet, I expect 100%.
Still optimizing the parameter.
