I heard news that TD in USA is down for 2 days. Does TD Singapore being affected too?

TD Singapore is having zero commission fee to trade US stock. Does that mean buying and selling US stock does not need to pay any brokerage fee and other fees?

Theoratically yes but you pay for exchange rate and withdrawal

Hi,

May I ask, while trading on TOS platform (example i have US$ 1,000 in it), what is the breokrage/commission fee?

What am I paying for each Buy and Sell ?

Thanks

sending money - local tt (around Rm10 I think) + intermediary bank ($25, but depends, if direct to Wells Fargo then $0)

withdraw - $25 by tda(Wells Fargo) + local bank inward receiving fee

trading stock - fraction of cents per share to exchange/regulation fees

trading futures/options - full commission + exchange/regulation fees

hm... got me curious to check TDASG's current terms VS their terms to me (2016 account). Sharing my findings below - looks like i've to poke TDASG to get their current terms if no additional T&C la smile.gif

Based on current terms:
Stocks & ETFs: Trade unlimited shares for $0.00 per trade.
Note: $0 commission applies to U.S. exchange-listed stocks and ETFs. A USD$7.44 commission applies to online trades of over-the-counter (OTC) stocks.

Options: USD$0.70 per contract, with no ticket charge, exercise or assignment fees. Option fees are waived when you buy to close any short individual or single leg option for USD$0.05 or less.

VS
My XOM fees/commission as i sold PUT options.
4 contracts for commission $4 +misc fees $0.09 VS current offer $0.70*4=$2.80

My XOM PUT option being assigned .
Assignment fees/commission $15 VS current offer FOC on assignment

Think or swim is now TD.

Depends on how you look at it. TD does not have access to other markets. Not to mentioned there's some pretty heavy withdrawal fees while IBKR give one free withdrawal a month.

You can forget about reply. They get backlog because they offer zero commission. So I heard they are still processing march application.

Just to update, TDA SG finally e-mailed me after my application since early September (or late August).

Just requesting for further info and validating a few ones too.

Also, since I'm not qualified to complete the Customer Account Review (CAR) document, I was directed to complete the SGX SIP Module which is done within 30 minutes (thanks to google lol!)

Waiting for their further response
