Err, just create the currency wallet on Wise itself.

The lowest fee and good conversion rate....

IBKR is just a brokerage some of us use to buy international stocks.

Actually i just spent some AUD while my daugther was in MEL.
The rate in bigpay was better than WISE.

Obv cannot confirm but my daugther swiped 99AUD and what was charge to bigpay was lesser than when i tried to topup using wise to aud.

Dunno if others have used AUD recently?

Yes including the fees i guess.

Erm just saw in bigpay cb transfer fee waived.
Maybe due to that i guess. But in all honesty i dont have any idea.

Do you guys normally convert to the current you want and keep in Wise or just let it convert during a transaction?

It says there is a small fee, so i am wondering is the fee amount same as converting into the wanted currency and holding it?

Look like same to me.

When auto convert it should already be included.

You can check the fees breakdown actually. Just click on any transfer done and click on the fees. It should show the breakdown

oh...i thought u claim by receipt. if that is the case, then i recommend use wise. Bigpay got a lot of scam and always call u/whatsapp and need to do often freeze/unfreeze.
Wise is my prefer choice and stop using bigpay since then

Anyone tried using wise to withdraw money in Singapore? Is it the same steps as our ATM here and is it limited to specific banks?
*
Yes, tried at UOB atm. they will ask which account to withdraw from(savings, current, credit card cash advance).
I just chose credit card cash advance. no withdrawal fee if still within your atm withdrawal limit (less than RM1000 equivalent in foreign currency / twice a month)
means withdraw 100 sgd, they deduct 100 sgd from your wise account, that's it.

Pretty much unusable in so many shops in Malaysia.

I'd rather use MAE Card/OCBC debit card/bigpay. All zero markup, accepted everywhere I've tested so far.

not just malaysia, same thing in singapore, especially the contactless.
contactless gets rejected 50% of the time, even in singapore. But when i wave with bigpay or any other malaysian credit card, it works everytime.

what about those that are using it in europe /uk / australia etc... does paywave works everytime like it should?

what's the point of a multi currency card when it doesnt work overseas.

I see. PIN works for me too. But some places don't allow chip and pin, like vending machines.
