Its sports after all and ppl watch sports not for winning or losing at times. Its the excitement that counts. I still feel very much love watching Ferrari vs McLaren battle on the track.

I think Pedro and Alonso was given immunity, if I'm not mistaken

maybe they agreed on alonso cooperating with the FIA and in return, he gets immunity

I really dont get it. Why are we still debating this topic.
Everyone is spying one another. Ferrari tap McLaren lines and McLaren tap Ferrari lines (read F1-Live article about Kimi report to FIA). At the end of the day, its all about fair play. Even though McLaren did use the data, Im still wondering whether its possible to really use them on their cars without any problem.) Its even more surprising to see that Ferrari data has better effect than it does on a Ferrari car. Hahaha.

Anyway, what has been done, was done and we all have to accept the fact whether like it or not. I still support F1, for the technology, excitement, media and personality it brings. We just hope that we wont see the same case again next year. FIA decide to punish McLaren. Thats it. Its useless to punish the drivers because they are not the one who triggered the espionage. I think Ron Dennis should be punished for letting it happened in his camp although he reiterate his innocent. This is not Malaysia. Tak tau attitude sounds ridiculous to me.

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Sep 15 2007, 02:13 PM)
Definitely.

Ron Dennis..."We're pulling our drivers and entire team out until 2008!"

He hasn't said it yet, but there is nothing left to be done but to do so. Here's how I look at it...

"IF" Ron was ignorant of this whole mess and he is half the man he claims to be (no team orders, we're an honorable team, etc. etc.), then he has no choice but to retire the team from this year's racing.
"IF" however, he was complicit, then he must also retire his team anyway because it's the best way to minimize the damage already done to the sport.

THE CAR AND TEAM IS ILLEGAL... FULL STOP!!!

All the world knows it, but the FIA is too soft/moronic to know what needs to be done.
Any man worth his salt would simply throw in the towel and try again next year (after also sacking Alonzo, PDR, Caughlin, and anyone else who was privy to the Ferrari info within the team).
A complete purge is necessary to make things right.
Nothing less will do if Ron cares at all about the future of the sport.

Come on Ron...show us what caliber of man you are! We're waiting...

Since they're guilty...sure it'll effect the sponsors such as Santander (bank).

eh stop acting like Ferrari is squeaky clean. Ferrari have done a lot of controversy in the past and yet their sponsor stick with them.

Oh i forgot.... you dont care bout what ferrari did before yes?

because you were Mclaren supporter last season.... yawn.gif yawn.gif

An exploding ron would be fun to watch. AHhahaha. i'm surprised he can still be diplomatic & calm. imagine flavio or luca in his position ... hAhahahah.

Ron exploded?
The worst thing that could happen is he'll cry laugh.gif
Like at Monza last week.

Tainted...tainted...tainted laugh.gif

Don't worry, we can still watch A1 and other racing GP if bored with F1.

because....... Ferrari fanboys here still blaming Mclaren for their unexpected performance this season. I admit and totally agree with FIA's findings. But ferrari fanboys should look at their drivers performance this year.

They claimed that Mclaren cars is faster because of the stolen data. let see :

Pole : Raikkonen (2), Massa (5), Alonso (2), Hamilton (4)
Fastest lap : Raikkonen (5), Massa (4), alonso (3), hamilton (1)

Its human nature, blaming others while ignoring self inadquatcy....

Honestly if McLaren really make better use of Ferrari data, then let it be lor. This is the worst humiliation one can expect when your data can make your opponent even faster than your own car. LOL...

For me, this year marks another era of F1 where Fernando Alonso, Hamilton, Raikonen and Massa will battle it out. This is the start, therefore the picture still not very clear. Next year will be a real test between all of them (except for Alonso I guess since he's rumoured to join Renault).

Like I said, there;s no need to debate liao. We all knew teams spied on each other. Its sort of like fair play. But then McLaren has gone too far this time, thus being punished. I dont believe everyone is innocent but there;s a limit where you would call a stop. McLaren didnt. Toyota did something like that too (not as serious) and was punished (not sure they were deduct points). What Im trying to say is I punch you, you punch me back la. Dont go and set my house on fire or go rape my daughter. Fair and square ma.

It is definitely not fair for McLaren n Ferrari.

FIA should take off Pedro de la rosa and Fernando's super license + his points not McLaren bcoz FIA cant prove that the team applied the data on their car but they had proved alonso/ pedro testing with the data.

I think that is better or fine the team (not write off their points).

and by the way
Why not FIA fine williams coz they are using similar front wing as McLaren?

Looks like another one in blurry case...

These are what we called inventor and followers. You can follow but what matter is that whether you can make the part works like it should. Its not that simple. Thats why I said its hard to prove McLaren actually used Ferrari data to gain the speed they are enjoying now.

I can try to make a fake passport with your pics and details, but I cant steal your passport can I? 2 different cases...

LOL.
I think it's normal.
Everyone has their own opinions and expressing satisfaction as well as dissatisfaction.

Ferrari 50% satisfy...100% if McLaren were expelled for 2007 and 2008.
McLaren claimed innocent (but Dennis tipped off FIA etc. rclxub.gif )

Its hard to judge. If its like 2002 where F2002 lapped virtually everyone except themselves, yes. This year, very close la. Its a combination of cars design, reliability, luck, drivers and strategy.

so if alonso wins Spa, will Todt go up and shake his hand and share his champagne? LoL

i wonder if schumi is coming to Spa this weekend? actually i don't see this controversy hurting TV audiences. in fact, more casual viewers are bound to watch the remaining races.

I wish to see Ron Dennis reaction if he is asked this question

To Ron Dennis

" You used to say that you were very sure that nor you or anyone in your team knew or have used any Ferrari's data, however the emails said otherwise, what is your comment on this? "

To Alonso

" Do you think you would be happy winning using a Mcrari? You used to say that you never know anything about the Ferrari, what do you got to say about this? "

To Hamilton

" Where will you go next year? "

Yeap, it is hard to make parts by just looking at it. However, it is a piece of cake if you have the blueprints or any stolen documents from rival teams
