For me this is the important part of the article :

"But if it is found in the future that the Ferrari information has been used to the detriment of the championship, we reserve the right to invite Vodafone McLaren Mercedes back in front of the WMSC where it will face the possibility of exclusion from not only the 2007 championship but also the 2008 championship."

Unless Ferrari got a spy inside, if not how they going to know. I dont think its as easy as said.
They aint using it this year doesnt mean next year they wont.

I think myself hate Alonso a lot, but seem like other hate him a lot more than I did. LOL...

Honestly the rivalry in McLaren should be left alone for them to solve it. Its kinda sad to see Alonso being penalised for something like that. As much as you would hate him, he is a pretty good driver. If FIA wants fair play then dont make this kind of qualifying. Resort to the old method whereby everyone qualify one by one. This should solve the matter. Fair play? Come on..

Those who believe in fair play is very naive IMO.
Alonso is the senior and he's the one providing the data while Hamilton just using it. If the team is responsible for that, then the drivers should listen to their boss and we wont have this drama going on.

Everyone rooting for Hamilton for his sweet baby face smilies..
LOL...

I think he's wicked.. and I think if Raikonen cant catch them, I support Alonso to win WDC.. he's a monkey with great skills IMO.. Hamilton, just a rookie tiger with pig skin cover who knows nuts about setting up a car.

Hamilton can go f*** swivel if he kept doing that. He's the one who ignited and causing such ruscus, now he put an innocent show saying someone doesnt want to talk to him. Pls.. fair treatment? Who on earth would believe it.

IMO, Traction Control ban will definately affect everyone, especially those smooth and silky one like Massa. Even if you spin your rear wheel, doesnt always means you will end up spinning unless you make mistakes. By removing TC, drivers will have to behave themselves and not pushing too hard or else will eats up its rear tyres faster.

The problem with todays' F1 races lies within the track themselves. While trying to make it as difficult and challenging, the track gone from wide to narrow, and lots of slow corners which would seperate the best from the rest. But it has a negative effect on the action.

IMO, FIA should reintroduce V10 engine. It really makes a whole lot difference in terms of overtaking. Not only that, it also bring back the problem of cooling. Really hate to see them queueing in Q3.

Traction control wont affect the speed too much, but will have more effect on driving style, and tyres wear rate. Its gonna give drivers harder time when they race side by side for 60 laps.

Dont be so foolish la.
If McLaren is faster when using Ferrari data, this definately stamp a mark on Ferrari own butt. You wanna say Ferrari have the data but dunno how to use it? I think it has something to do with Ferrari longer wheel base design. This track is a bit similar to the one in Montreal, Canada. Somehow Ferrari car doesnt work well with these track. Ferrari cars seems to work well with tracks that have fast sweeping corners like Silverstone or Magny Cours or even Turkey.

yup.... and one more thing is...

FIA should punish Ferrari as well coz their employee gave coughlan the data. If not, nx time other team will try to pay a employee to send data to rival team n they get punish. It will juz encourage ppl to do it.

during the 1st hearing last month, McLaren didnt get any punishment, then some said its not fair imagine a student tiru during exam, get caught but escape from punishment, it is ridiculous.

hm...in every school i guess the provider( the 1 who let other tiru) will also get punish as well rite?

Hahahaha...
True also hor, but then again, the point was did McLaren make use of any of Ferrari data which they claimed they didnt..
And also hor, Stephney approach Honda too, but Honda didnt give a damn about it, why?
Cos when someone aimed to gain fame and victories by any mean, they dont give a damn shit about rules..
Nothing to lose..

Just like when MSC tried to bang JV out lastime..
Its all or nothing..

Its sports after all and ppl watch sports not for winning or losing at times. Its the excitement that counts. I still feel very much love watching Ferrari vs McLaren battle on the track.

I really dont get it. Why are we still debating this topic.
Everyone is spying one another. Ferrari tap McLaren lines and McLaren tap Ferrari lines (read F1-Live article about Kimi report to FIA). At the end of the day, its all about fair play. Even though McLaren did use the data, Im still wondering whether its possible to really use them on their cars without any problem.) Its even more surprising to see that Ferrari data has better effect than it does on a Ferrari car. Hahaha.

Anyway, what has been done, was done and we all have to accept the fact whether like it or not. I still support F1, for the technology, excitement, media and personality it brings. We just hope that we wont see the same case again next year. FIA decide to punish McLaren. Thats it. Its useless to punish the drivers because they are not the one who triggered the espionage. I think Ron Dennis should be punished for letting it happened in his camp although he reiterate his innocent. This is not Malaysia. Tak tau attitude sounds ridiculous to me.

because....... Ferrari fanboys here still blaming Mclaren for their unexpected performance this season. I admit and totally agree with FIA's findings. But ferrari fanboys should look at their drivers performance this year.

They claimed that Mclaren cars is faster because of the stolen data. let see :

Pole : Raikkonen (2), Massa (5), Alonso (2), Hamilton (4)
Fastest lap : Raikkonen (5), Massa (4), alonso (3), hamilton (1)

Its human nature, blaming others while ignoring self inadquatcy....

Honestly if McLaren really make better use of Ferrari data, then let it be lor. This is the worst humiliation one can expect when your data can make your opponent even faster than your own car. LOL...

For me, this year marks another era of F1 where Fernando Alonso, Hamilton, Raikonen and Massa will battle it out. This is the start, therefore the picture still not very clear. Next year will be a real test between all of them (except for Alonso I guess since he's rumoured to join Renault).

Like I said, there;s no need to debate liao. We all knew teams spied on each other. Its sort of like fair play. But then McLaren has gone too far this time, thus being punished. I dont believe everyone is innocent but there;s a limit where you would call a stop. McLaren didnt. Toyota did something like that too (not as serious) and was punished (not sure they were deduct points). What Im trying to say is I punch you, you punch me back la. Dont go and set my house on fire or go rape my daughter. Fair and square ma.

It is definitely not fair for McLaren n Ferrari.

FIA should take off Pedro de la rosa and Fernando's super license + his points not McLaren bcoz FIA cant prove that the team applied the data on their car but they had proved alonso/ pedro testing with the data.

I think that is better or fine the team (not write off their points).

and by the way
Why not FIA fine williams coz they are using similar front wing as McLaren?
*
LOL...
Looks like another one in blurry case...

These are what we called inventor and followers. You can follow but what matter is that whether you can make the part works like it should. Its not that simple. Thats why I said its hard to prove McLaren actually used Ferrari data to gain the speed they are enjoying now.

I can try to make a fake passport with your pics and details, but I cant steal your passport can I? 2 different cases...

Its hard to judge. If its like 2002 where F2002 lapped virtually everyone except themselves, yes. This year, very close la. Its a combination of cars design, reliability, luck, drivers and strategy.
