i really amused by the amateurish espionage that was taking place. photocopying dossiers at shop, sending unencrypted emails and text messages, bunch of bloody noobs. alonso living up to his name as F1 resident bad boy rclxms.gif now we know why he claimed added a couple of 10ths to the car laugh.gif

if ferrari was spying on other teams, at least they'll be competent enough to cover their tracks tongue.gif tongue.gif

haha no wonder alonso keep saying WDC is his 1st priority. On the other hand, he is destroying McLaren future.

So confirm nx yr Alonso will transfer to other team or maybe jobless... bcoz he betray McLaren.

fine of USD100 million (less any sum that would have been payable by
Formula One Management Limited on account of McLaren's results in the 2007
Constructors Championship had it not been excluded)

so tats means 100 million is including all the prize, TV fees etc.

they should use the USD100 million to subsidize/reduce the prize of F1 tickets like what michelin did to Indy GP 06 icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

many years back in a monaco GP, RD were furious at pedro. back then pedro was driving an Arrows (i believe) and DC somehow got send to the back of the grid and was unable to get past pedro on the tight circuit.

anyway Ron, payback's a b****. This is karma for mismanaging both Montoya & Alonso tongue.gif

i think once RD settled as much as possible, he will retire and take off some of the heat from the team. still got many years to enjoy a meaningful retirement. all the best~

That is sure gonna effect McLaren preparation next year.
We'll just have to see anyway.

QUOTE(cristiano7mu @ Sep 14 2007, 08:58 PM)
yup.... and one more thing is...

FIA should punish Ferrari as well coz their employee gave coughlan the data. If not, nx time other team will try to pay a employee to send data to rival team n they get punish. It will juz encourage ppl to do it.

during the 1st hearing last month, McLaren didnt get any punishment, then some said its not fair imagine a student tiru during exam, get caught but escape from punishment, it is ridiculous.

hm...in every school i guess the provider( the 1 who let other tiru) will also get punish as well rite?

Hahahaha...
True also hor, but then again, the point was did McLaren make use of any of Ferrari data which they claimed they didnt..
And also hor, Stephney approach Honda too, but Honda didnt give a damn about it, why?
Cos when someone aimed to gain fame and victories by any mean, they dont give a damn shit about rules..
Nothing to lose..

Just like when MSC tried to bang JV out lastime..
Its all or nothing..

Honda WAS interested, but they cut ties with Coughlan and Stepneu the moment stepney and the white powder case arises.
And I still found it weird that Stepney will do all this without gaining something in return. He is the root in all this, and yet, he seemed to be irrelevant.

Following the espionage scandal verdict, Fernando Alonso is almost certain to leave the McLaren team to join Renault next year, according to a newspaper.

Not according to the team.

and I do think macca will appeal.

i would suggest most of you read the statement released by the FIA and fully understand it. i know alot of you are fans thus your comments are biased. however, please do give reasons for your claims and not act so childish and call people cheats.

if you read it, McLaren does have some basis on which they can appeal. of course, they will still be punishments as the punishments cant be imposed on the drivers (pedro and alonso) whom knowingly took illegal information. Also, statements of WMSC are clear as there is still has no concrete proof that other McLaren personnels and the team as a whole made use of the information. they only said it is unlikely a test driver could make decisions that information was not important/applicable in McLarens case.

In my personal opinion, I think the result of the case wasnt properly handled due to the involvement of 2 major teams and the pressure the media puts on them
