I don't have problem to use homekit app to access HASS devices exposed through homekit bridge on HASS when I'm outside using mobile network on iphone.

Oh. Do you have homepods, apple tv or ipad at home as homekit hub. I read thats the requirement for homekit to work outside wifi system.

I do have the ipad as the homekit hub, yes, i believe you will need homekit hub to access from outside.

I looking for someone that is using Aqara Aircond controller.

1. Are you using apple homekit to control it? If yes, what are the functions and limitations of using Apple Homekit
2. What plug point head configuration you got for your aircond, as i know my aircond not compatible with the Aqara P3 air cond plug, was thinking of using universal converter or just cut and change plug point.

Yes, depends on your air cond manufacturer. I’m using Panasonic, can only control temperature, the rest all auto depending on your setting on aqara

no needed, furthermore the g2h has been just updated to exposed the d1 switches to homekit (firmware 0515) which previously it was not

the best solution is go through home assistant route, you can expose any devices supported by home assistant in homekit.
i use tp link smart plug then expose to homekit via home assistant

Just got my homepod mini to replace my ipad as homekit hub. Everything seems faster now

Finish integrating all the Android TV (Sony), Mihome (Air Purifier + Smart Fan) + all the Tuya switches into Homebridge so can use with Homekit

i always had problem accessing homekit secure video on iphone using mobile data.

previously i use ipad as hub, after i add homepod mini as hub the problem has resolved.

although there is still lag on the live feed.

Hi, same with mascot, decided to go with Terncy too but my knowledge is still very limited. Can any sifu here write a brief tutorial on how to install terncy switch module to control autogate using homekit? What do we need to know, what to buy and how to install. Preferably with link to buy as well

I used a Ewelink Sonnoff relay module and put it inside the auto gate box, and have Home Assistant expose it as a garage door to Homekit.

I powered this with the gate battery, you could do that or use from the board as well. On my auto gate board (DC Moto) there are separate Open and Close parts which I could connect wires to, so I connected open to one channel to the relay, and close to another. There are various guides on YouTube, but it will really vary depending on the type of autogate you are using. What you could try is, taking a short wire and short the open and close and test if that works first, if it does then get the relay and connect it.

I have not used it myself, but it is meant for devices or lights which are either plugged into a power socket, or else wired to a normal switch that you don't want to change into a smart switch.

Unfortunately I believe that it is only rated for low to moderate current devices (i.e., not for gate motors etc.) though it is not specified explicitly. You can contact Terncy directly for more info, they are usually quite responsive.

Apparently it can drive LED strips with an expander interface. I have not used it myself, I figured that smart switches are easier to use and configure.
