I had a G2H for a couple weeks now and I would NOT recommend it for anyone if you plan to use it for real security - only speaking for Homekit Secure Video.
1. The motion sensor only triggers recording when motion is continuously detected. Sometimes there are movements and nothing is recorded.
2. The image quality of the camera OR whatever encoding Homekit Secure Video uses is terrible. You can't even distinguish faces when the person is >1.5 meters away. (You can recognise family members but useless for intruders).
3. The only awesome part is two way talking is supported (You can use the microphone and the speaker on the camera to talk). - but that's the only good thing I can say about this camera.
Will probably resort to Homebridge and RTSP feed from my network cameras instead.

After reading alot of different post, I finally decide to go with Terncy, may I ask how you router terncy switch module with autogate? My house come with autogate wiring but not the d/c motor itself.

from my experience, enterprise grade AP are a lot better if you have the budget. priority is probably to have good coverage especially if you HomeKit devices work only with WiFi (multiple APs >>> single high TX power AP), then stability, proper WiFi management implementation from the manufacturer, etc.

currently I'm using 3x Aruba APs to provide coverage around the house for WiFi only Sonoff devices. The APs would automatically detect each other, form a cluster, constantly monitor, adapt channels and pass the WiFi client to the whichever AP that could serve the end device best. For devices like smartphone, laptops, the APs will band steer the end device on either 2.4/5GHz, basically seamless roaming.
need to be careful with this though as common auto gate controller works with pulse input instead of plain on/off. if it is set as a switch where it's turn on to open the gate, the switch would pull the gate controller input low until you set the switch to off. During that period, other auto gate RF remote won't work at all

yeap. for my setup, I modified my Sonoff basic, isolated 1x input (gate's contact sensor) and 2x output (one/two side gate control), 0.1s inching time for the output

Hi, same with mascot, decided to go with Terncy too but my knowledge is still very limited. Can any sifu here write a brief tutorial on how to install terncy switch module to control autogate using homekit? What do we need to know, what to buy and how to install. Preferably with link to buy as well
